Moses Moody and His Foundation Continue to Give Back to the Little Rock Community
Ever since he led North Little Rock High School to a state championship, Golden State Warriors forward Moses Moody has been giving back to his hometown. On the court, he helped rejuvenate recruiting efforts at the University of Arkansas after leading the Razorbacks to the 2021 Elite Eight and taking home SEC Freshman of the Year honors. More recently though, Moody has extended his influence to the daily lives of those in his Little Rock community by hosting his first large-scale food and essentials giveaway for local families in need with his Motivate One Foundation.
In partnership with Convoy of Hope and the Watershed Family Resource Center, Moody helped provide thousands of meals and essential household supplies, which are expected to benefit over 5,500 residents across Little Rock, AR. “I’m glad to be able to provide food to so many families and to connect people who have the means to help to a community that needs it,” Moses said.
The truckload of donated supplies filled a variety of needs for families in the area, from canned goods, baby food and formula to sports drinks, fruit juice and more. Moses wasn’t alone either, with members of his family and supporters of the foundation coming together at the Watershed Family Resource Center in late February. After seeing the impact first-hand, Moody and his foundation have already lined up a second distribution initiative on Moses Moody Day at the end of July.
