WATCH: James Harden Hangs Triple-Double on the Warriors

In the most thrilling game of the NBA season to date, James Harden led the Houston Rockets to a 132-127 road victory Thursday night over the Golden State Warriors in double overtime.

Harden finished with 29 points, 13 assists, and 15 rebounds for his fourth triple-double, and overcame strong perfomances from Kevin Durant (39 points, 13 boards) and Stephen Curry (28 points, 5 assists.)

The Rockets snapped Golden State’s twelve-game winning streak.

Per the AP:

“A statement win to show the whole NBA that we can compete with anybody in the league,” Rockets guard Patrick Beverley said. “We’re a very confident team. That’s the one thing Coach instilled in the team.”

 

Durant matched his season high with 39 points to go with 13 rebounds but shot 12 of 28 and went 3 for 11 from 3-point range. (Draymond) Green had 20 points, 15 rebounds and nine assists. Curry scored his team’s first six points in the initial overtime and finished with 28 points and five assists.

 

“There are going to be nights like that. You’ve got to find a way to win,” Durant said. “We put ourselves in a good position to win.”
