Isaiah Thomas scored 18 of his season-high 37 points in the fourth quarter to rally the Boston Celtics, who eventually fell short 106-105 to the New Orleans Pelicans on Monday.
With the score tied at 33 seconds left, Thomas drew a foul on Anthony Davis and hit a free throw to give the Celtics a 103-102 lead. He would then make a driving layup with 7 seconds left to tie the game at 105-105.
But on the next possession, Pelicans guard Tim Frazier would get to the line with under 3 seconds left and scored New Orlean’s game-winning point.
