Indiana Pacers center Roy Hibbert once again failed to show up in a Playoff game, laying an egg (0 points, 0 rebounds) in the 102-96 Game 1 loss to the visiting Washington Wizards. With even some former NBA players mocking Hibbert’s performance, his teammates David West and Paul George put the pressure on the big fella to bounce back, and very soon. Per the Indy Star and team website:
Center Roy Hibbert simply cannot end another game scoreless and with no rebounds like he did Monday for the third time in less than a month. The Wizards dwarfed the Pacers under the glass for a 65-46 rebounding advantage.
“We need him now,” Paul George said. “I have faith that along the way he’s going to find himself. But we’re at the point where we’re really going to need Roy and we really need him now.”
David West, Roy Hibbert and Rasual Butler appeared to have a talk in the weight room. Doors were shut. Guys declined to talk about it.

Never seen David West so hot in the locker room postgame. First time I can remember him cutting off the media. (Spoke for ~5mins)

A beyond furious David West, on Hibbert: "He’s got to be part of the fight. H’s got to be part of this thing for us to go anywhere.”

Hibbert: "I got to come out and be aggressive. I got to be a different Roy Hibbert than I have been."

Roy Hibbert: "I’m going to change some things up for the second game. I’m going to look within myself and go out there and figure it out."
