The Miami Heat are looking to capitalize on their fans’ patriotic fervor following the Bin Laden news — the same supporters that have been asked to “Fan Up” — by asking them to sing the Anthem tonight prior to Game 2 against Boston (word to the Edmonton Oilers’ fans). From the AP: “The Heat are encouraging fans to sing it themselves. The announcement was made by the Heat less than one day following the announcement that Al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden was killed by U.S. forces in Pakistan. The Heat have honored soldiers returning from Iraq and Afghanistan at home games for several seasons, and say Tuesday’s game will include an enhanced military tribute.”
