Ron Artest Defends Oden’s ‘Swag’; Calls Rappers ‘Teen Girls’

by Marcel Mutoni

So, apparently, some rapper named Status Quo called out Greg Oden about the way he dresses (or something). I’m honestly too lazy to look it up, so I’ll just have to take Ron Artest’s word for it.

Anyway, it turns out that Artest got wind of this diss and decided to come to Oden’s defense. Artest tells Stat to go after the people who deserve the abuse - namely, musicians who are, in Ron’s mind, trying to turn males into females.

The only thing Ron-Ron didn’t add to this endlessly entertaining and confusing video clip is a shout of “No Homo”. Hey, you can’t win ‘em all I guess. (Via: BallHype)

although i agree that the girlie pants are too much, i think most people in the spotlight are concerned with their appearance, even Ron Ron wouldn’t let cameras shoot him when he was toothless during the summer. Landry on the other hand? Dude even taped his dentist appointment. Now THAT’s hood swag.

  • T Money Posted: Nov.19 at 12:08 pm
    Huh?

It also appears as if he’s doing this from a front porch of a house. He was probably walking around, looking for the best light. HERE!

If there’s one thing that I’ve learned from thsi clip, it’s that apparently Artest thinks that “you already know what it is”.
No, RonRon, I don’t know what it is. Please, tell me, what is IT?

He said that they should be dissing the labels, not the artist. In that case, we should be dissing Tru Warier, not Artest. :)

  • Teddy-the-Bear Posted: Nov.19 at 9:18 pm
THANK YOU RON ARTEST. WHAT HE IS SAYING IS EXACTLY RIGHT. Wow f*ckin Pharell, Kanye, and Lupe all need to be called out by somebody real in the hip hop industry. Gucci? Louis V? What the f*ck is that? And don’t get me started on skateboarding. That is the furthest thing from being true to the Hip Hop culture. What kind of rapper skateboards?
Also, what about hand bags? Pharell Williams was sporting a male PURSE. A F*CKIN MAN WITH A PURSE, and he thought he was cool doing it..
This type of sh!t is killing hip hop, just as much as the redundant dance antics of Souljah Boy and D4L. I know exactly what Ron Artest was talking about and applaud him for saying something about it.

Um, when did we start taking commercial rap seriously again?

  • Spaceship Jay Posted: Nov.20 at 3:46 pm
    Yikes, Teddy-the Bear. Yikes.
