KG Felt Bosh’s Frustration

by Marcel Mutoni

Chris, Holly and I were on hand for the Celtics/Raptors snooze-fest yesterday in Toronto, and the only sort of compelling drama was what was being said (or left unsaid) in both locker rooms following the game.

As Toronto spent much of the afternoon crapping the bed against the C’s, Chris Bosh became visibly upset with his team’s lackluster play on more than one occasion. Afterwards, Kevin Garnett was asked to compare CB4’s current situation to the one he faced in Minny.

From the Toronto Star:

“I don’t know the situation here or what he’s going through but tonight he looked pretty frustrated,” said Garnett. “When you’re a good player and trying to be better, trying to be one of the premiers in this league, trying to set your mark, you want the help around you. He has to make a decision on whether he wants to be here.”

Most of us were caught completely off-guard by KG’s comments, and reporters nearly sprinted out of the room to grab Bosh’s reaction. Chris, however, refused to be baited into expressing the extent of his frustration, and after taking an extraordinarly long time to get dressed, he just repeatedly said the game was over and done with.

Thirteen games into the season, it’s far too early to press the panic button in Toronto, but if the Raptors don’t dig themselves out of their current hole (and soon), one gets the feeling that Bosh won’t remain as diplomatic when addressing matters.

Raptors will finish about.500 this season and Bosh will leave in 2010 to play for New York with LBJ

    Welcome to Detroit, Chris.

    no way.

the big difference compared to KG’s situation in Minnesota, is that Bosh actually has help. There are plenty of dudes on the Raptors that can play, but mediocrity with this squad is something I didn’t expect. However, maybe Sam Mitchell is part of the problem too? Eddie Jordan, I found a new job for you….

In 2010 Bosh, Lebron, ‘Melo and Wade will all play together on the Knicks. President Barack Obama will leave the Democratic party to be part of Rupert Murdoch’s new, ultra-Libertarian wing of the GOP. Crude oil will be priced at $450 a barrell. Michael Jordan will emerge from retirement one last time to play for the OKC Thunder. Scottie Pippen will also want to return, but will refuse to work out in front of coaches and scouts. Greg Oden, plagued by years of injuries, will become the first part-robot to play in the NBA. And the super-conducting super-collider will destroy us all.

well see thats us as fans problem….sam mitchell just had a exceptional year but soon as they slope down…now all of a sudden sammy doesnt have a clue whats going on..first they need a bit more ball movement and some of these role players need to step up…trade j.0

I love the way Bosh plays the game and wouldn’t mind seeing him with a Deron Williams type player around him. That could be a historic duo for years to come. Just a thought though.

The season is way to early for all of this.

  • Zee! Posted: Nov.24 at 12:30 pm
Donnie Walsh is loving every minute of this.

  • Zee! Posted: Nov.24 at 12:31 pm
@thebigticket05 - No way in HELL is Bosh going to Utah.

  • Breeze Posted: Nov.24 at 12:38 pm

Come to NY CB4! Bring DWade with you…

  • jamario Posted: Nov.24 at 1:15 pm
KG should mind his own beezwax.

  • Jess Posted: Nov.24 at 1:34 pm
Bosh has help around him - as a Raps fan I find it insulting to compare the TWolves to the Raps - are they in a slump - yes will they get out of it - yes..will Bosh be in TO in 2010…YES. Bad game…move on…its over with.

    Welcome to Lebrons world, CB.

  • Paps Posted: Nov.24 at 2:40 pm
    KG’s a bad winner.

  • Crook Posted: Nov.24 at 2:49 pm
#1 @jamario: KG responded to a ?, he did not seek the media out and give his 2 cents therefore he was within respectful boundaries when answering the ? posed to him. #2 I too am confused how the media views a coach as a genius one year and a bum the next. #3 Who better than KG to recognize frustration?

  • Ryne Nelson Posted: Nov.24 at 3:02 pm
Let the 2010 craze continue. If I was K.G., I’d continue to say the same thing about Dwyane Wade after the Celtics beat on the Heat next time they come to Miami.

  • ciolkstar Posted: Nov.24 at 3:36 pm
Did anyone else see Jalen Rose talking about how he has “inside sources” that tell him Bosh and Bron will, for sure, sign with the Knicks in 2010? Not sure I buy that, but if it happens its basically Game Over (for anyone else in the East atleast)

  • what Posted: Nov.24 at 4:12 pm
@gumdrop: haahahahaha. I think it’s more likely that Bosh leaves the Raptors than it is that LeBron leaves Cleveland, mainly because Cleveland is a lot closer to winning a title than Toronto.

  • Paps Posted: Nov.24 at 4:41 pm
Bosh is going to stay in Toronto and Rose is just adding more fire to the flames.

  • Moose Posted: Nov.24 at 4:43 pm
2010 is getting me excited and giving me a headache at the same time . . .

  • thesubwayconnection Posted: Nov.24 at 5:51 pm
Did anyone else catch Jalen Rose saying he had “sources” that told him LeBron and CB were going to the Knicks in 2010?

  • MeloMan13 Posted: Nov.24 at 6:24 pm
u newyorkers are so greedy. u need to find ur own superstar cuz Bosh is OURS.
i think Kg’s strategy is to stir up conflict on other teams to make it easier for the repeat

  • Darksaber Posted: Nov.24 at 8:19 pm
Wow, Season must be really boring for Kevin so far, he’s slowly “Shaquing” things up with his on/offcourt antics.

  • ClydeSays Posted: Nov.24 at 10:49 pm
Raps at least had some kind of a plan. Dealing for the 60% version of JO kinda threw a wrench in their running/gunning offense. Not sure where they’re headed now. KG knows what it’s like to be an All Star on a Lottery team, but I do think the Raps have more talent than that.

  • Danny Posted: Nov.25 at 1:37 am
How come nobody thinks Cleveland can get Bosh? If they sign Bosh first, they can then go over the cap to re-sign LBJ and Z. With Wally and Ben off the team and their back court set, Cleveland could dominate the East for the next few years.

  • I'mJustSayin Posted: Nov.25 at 11:04 am
Will Bosh leave 30 mil on the table is the question? Isn’t he trying to feed his family?

  • eddy Posted: Nov.27 at 9:38 pm
bosh wont leave and if bosh accepts less money in the offseason and lebron accepts less money the raps are gonna resign bosh and get lebron to wim a championship. lebron will not go to the knicks since he wants to go somewhere where he can win a ring and in new york that wont happen knicks suck
