Really? There’s a British basketball website? Why?

  • Pro Posted: Aug.29 at 10:26 am
Because we ball in the UK. You’ll see come 2012.

  • mat smith Posted: Aug.29 at 10:30 am

Get it straight. From a funding/organisation perspective, Basketball in Britain is nothing. But there is talent here.

  • iain. Posted: Aug.29 at 10:38 am
umm reading that, British Basketball (somehow) found the 250k for THIS YEAR. The premium requires 250k every summer until 2012 unless im mistaken. I doubt they gonna pour out a mill just hoping that GB make it to the games.

  • Darksaber Posted: Aug.29 at 12:06 pm
Yep, same illusion the Swiss had last summer when Thabo decided to play in Euro Qualifiers. But blimey, if they can add Ben Gordon to the mix, things could get interesting.

Can i get me some tickets to the olympic b-ball tournaments NOW? Please God, make it happen. Olympics are gonna be just around the corner, in my birthcity, with Nba all stars…it’s a dream come true!

  • niQ Posted: Aug.29 at 12:11 pm
if they add gordon, they might as well call them the bulls

  • AMac Posted: Aug.29 at 12:32 pm
Gordon and Pops are in the squad, plus we got PLENTY of guys in the NCAA, Euroleague academies, etc. We’re always gonna be a small country-but I’m going out on a limb and guaranteeing a win against Angola-if we play them!

  • Russ Bengtson Posted: Aug.29 at 3:40 pm
What’s up with Neil Fingleton? Isn’t he a Brit?

  • Mush Posted: Aug.29 at 3:50 pm
Russ, He is a brit, but he can’t ball!

  • Mush Posted: Aug.29 at 3:51 pm
So he’s trying to pursue a career in showbusinesss

  • CHRIS Posted: Aug.29 at 4:59 pm
GB beat Bosnia tonight 100-98. Not bad since we had no Deng, Betts, George, Midgley, or Larkai. Guess what? The first 4 names there could well be in starting 5! Like i’ve said before we are underdogs against Israel, but im sure we will put up a good fight. Our last friendly is tommorow versus Portugal hopefully the lads can finish on a high going into the qualifiers. Let’s get behind these guys, i believe that when we play Czech, a week tommorow it’s going to be a big crowd, around 10k @ the O2 Arena. If you aint got your tickets yet get them fast & make as much noise as possible!!!! SUPPORT TEAM GB SPREAD THE WORD!

    Robert Archibald anyone?

  • rav Posted: Aug.29 at 7:25 pm
hey chris do you know if they’re playing any games at the echo arena in liverpool? i heard a while back there was going to be a game there

  • CHRIS Posted: Aug.30 at 11:19 am
Yes, they are playing Israel, on 13th september…tickets still availabe. We Beat Portugal by 1 point this afternoon, with Boyd having a double double, 14 points 10 assists. We go into The Israel game on a high know we have won back to back games, and Deng has been officially cleared to play. Archibald withdrew to injury, but a recent interview he sauid he was 100% fit…im not happy!
