  My brain hurts. I’ve told the story a million times, but I met Steph when he was in 6th grade and I was in 8th and we were at Syracuse basketball camp. Every single thing that was true of him then has stayed true to this day: speaks a totally unique brand of English, an extremely talented basketball player, a huge sense of entitlement, a flair for showmanship, repping Brooklyn, etc. Unbelievable.

  I also don’t know why everyone is so confused. This is what I took from the video: 1. If you don’t win a championship, we are all losers. But he doesn’t play for championships. He plays to win. He shoots to win, because he shoots to win. 2. He can’t give kids what they need if they don’t have it. 3. The host is amazing at keeping the sycophancy up through the interview. I can see why Stephon wants to see the spit on his mouth. 4. He can get more dimes if he plays a different position. 5. His explaination while he was holding the shoe up was brilliant. I didn’t understand it, but that is because he is on a higher plane.

  Ahhh! You people should really chill for just a second. OK so he communicates oddly. A lot of the interview made no sense and is hard to explain. But he obviously confused the words “assists” and “steals”, or maybe he was thinking “threes”. He knows what assists and dimes are. And most of all, he did not call his wife a “ho”.   Duke is crazy. Anyone from the CI knows it. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Steph lives in his own world but he’s a real genuine dude when he’s not on his NBA entitlement kick (which is why I really respect his community work). I used to think English was his second language in high school….and he’s actually gotten much better….wow. Always seemed like a nice enough guy, not really weird in an eat his own boogers way, but he definitely always seemed like he moved to the beat of a different drum. He’s like that good kind of crazy unlike Kobe who’s a vindictive, manipulative kind of crazy. He means everything he says too….that’s what makes it even funnier.   It’s pretty obvious that Marbury has done too much Extacy. It makes perfect sense too as that drug only stays in your system for about 3 days…he can afford to use it and avoid issues with drug testing.   All of you get your heads out of the gutter!He was talking about about a “spiritual” connection with his sister. He said she had prayed for him all his life. When he missed her(probably on the cheek) he said he it was good to feel her body and soul! They probaby have a strong bond becaue of all te hard times they came through and she’s proud of him and has supported him and he “loves” her for it. As for the 12-13 dimes and 2-3 assists, I’m sure he mis-spoke and menat 2-3 steals! You ever mis- spoke before!? Get a grip people!

  Had some typo’s in my previous post. Just to clarify….Marbury probably “kissed” his sister on the cheek. He talked about feeling her body and “soul”, but most of you left that part out and tried to make his comments incestuous. They are probably very close and have a strong bond as sister and brother. Also I’m sure he meant 2-3 “steals” instead of assists. He “mis-spoke” like I “mis-typed”.

  I actually fear for his sanity after watching this. The comments about his sister (or daughter, I couldn’t follow his train of thought) are ridiculous. Feeling her body? It sounds like he’s trying to be deep, because he says “body and soul” but I have no idea what the hell he means by body. There’s really no way around it. He hardly speaks English in this. I’m pretty confident I could have done a far better interview. My 11 year old brother is more articulate than he is. And by the way, saying that he uses slang talk isn’t an excuse. He should talk like a normal human being. And most of the stuff, like, “I can’t give them what they need if they don’t have it” isn’t slang. It’s just retarded.
