I’m at home right now, prepping for a big night. I’m going to see the band MASTODON!!! They are the only heavy metal band that has based an entire album on Moby Dick. As far as I know. Russ is all over the Bulls-Pistons game tonight, which is the only game. That series is supposed to be over. If the Bulls win, all hell breaks loose.

    Mastodon is sick! They did that crazy song for the intro to the Aqua Teen movie, which is kinda the best part.

    I saw Mastodon a few months ago here in oz and they were good but unfortunately for them they were supporting Slayer.Hard for them to compete with the best of all time.Nice sound though and i did enjoy watching the taller guy singing and dancing like he was howling.Let us know how it was Sam.

    But isn’t Mastodon really just a slightly heavier Tool clone? (As are practically all of these new prog-ish metal bands.) They do get points for that Moby Dick album, though.

    I think that Mastadon reminds me of a Nickelback rip-off band…… thats about the same comparions as Tool.
