Duhon in; Marbury Out?
Chris Duhon chose the Knicks over the Magic as his preferred destination. Make no mistake about it: Duhon is a smart guy. Though Orlando is obviously the better team, Duhon knows that there’s a far greater chance of cracking the starting lineup in Gotham than in Disney World.
With Stephon Marbury supposedly on his way out of New York, the battle to run Mike D’Antoni’s offense seems a little easier.
Whether Marbury will be traded, bought out of his contract or simply waived is yet to be determined. But people with close ties to Donnie Walsh, the team president, and Coach Mike D’Antoni consider Marbury’s departure a near certainty.
Kevin Bradbury, Duhon’s agent, said, “For Chris, the opportunity to be a starting point guard, to have the opportunity to be the starting point guard for the Knicks, to play in New York and to play in D’Antoni’s system” was too good to pass up.
I can’t wait until Stephon’s jubiliant reaction to the signing hits the YouTubes. We got Chris Duhon, y’all!

That last joke has been said by just about every single commentator on SLAM already, Mutoni. Thought you were better than that.

Also Duhon is not that good and New York will still suck.

“They scared now. You think he shooting right, but he really shooting right. We got a younger, youthier player within Zach Randolph.” - Starbury

Lol. What Marbury actually said was, “You think he shooting right, but he really shooting left.” But would you have been surprised if he said ‘right’ twice? No? Me neither. It’s Monday…

Never been a fan of Marbury, far too arrogant for my liking. Remember when he claimed to the best point-guard in the League? Always good to remember such comedy whenever you’re feeling down…..

Jukai - Duhon actually is a huge updagrade over an old Starbury. He may not be able to score a lot, but Duhon is a solid distributing point. Which is what a D’antoni offense needs.

I CAN´T UNDERSTAND HOW SOMEBODY CAN SAY “it’s hard to believe Marbury averaged 20 and 8 for like 6 seasons. ” . HE HAD A FEW BAD SEASONS WITH THE KNICKS, AND HE BARELY PLAYED IN THE LAST ONE(I THINK IT WAS VERY FOOLISH AND DESCONSIDERATED WITH THE TEAM) BUT THE MEN WAS A SUPERATHLETE, HE MADE TREMENDOUS DUNKS, AND HE CAN DO IT NOW BUT I DON´T KNOW WHY HE DOESN´T WANT TO.
HE IS LACK OF CONFIDENCE, BUT HE IS ONE OF THE MOST TALENTED PLAYERS IN THE LEAGUE, BUT HE GOT TO CLEAR HIS MIND BECAUSE ITS HIS LAST CHANCE .

hmmmm you know Marbury had the potential to be a really awesome ball player but I don’t know what happened. Ok, I kind of know maybe sort of. But I’ve been wondering, WHY is it that every team has tried to play Starbury at the 1? He’d make a far better shooting guard, be it an undersized one. He can ( or could ) still slash and shoot the jay really well and one of his weaknesses has always been passing. Let the man do what hes good at ! I mean he does have to get out of New York (It’s Crawford’s time to shine!), but if a team does pick him up, they should definitely put him in at the SG, starter or not. PS: Knicks, PLEASE bring us Monta Ellis!!!!!!!!
Jul.8 at 1:53 pm
Teddy-the-Bear says:
Oh, and @ Maik: The Ward and Childs time brought our Knicks to the finals.
Jul.8 at 10:29 pm
chintao says:
Duhon could never be Chris Childs. Childs is so gangster that he and The Oak Man used to collect protection money from teams visiting MSG. On top of that, Childs was never afraid to take the final shot. He didn’t make them all, but at least he never cowered from responsibility. Also, unlike “H2Oh No!”, he never dribbled the ball off his foot with the shot clock running-down. Respect.
Jul.9 at 1:44 am
Teddy-the-Bear says:
Wait, was that to me? Because I was defending Ward and Childs. And if you were denouncing Allen Houston: Who hit the runner at the last second to send the Knicks on their way passed the Heat, the same year they got to the finals?
Jul.9 at 11:34 pm
chintao says:
Teddy===> That was for maik @Jul.7 at 6:00 pm. Still, I can’t agree with your defense of the Waterboy. Houston got lucky ONCE. What about the hundreds of other times he gumped it up? Naw, the Waterboy was never a real Knick….
