@daHiVE: Who told you so? Everybody is happy to have a better chance now going to BEIJING. They need to qualify first in Athens in about 2 Weeks, in a Pre-Tournament. I know ONE Player in Person, and he is damn happy!

Jan Jagla went to Penn State for a year or two, and he sucked here. I don’t see him having a lot of luck against Dwight and Booz.

There are a lot of fans in Germany that think, that young prospects should get playing time instead of a guy who probably never was in Germany before 2008. But there are also lots of fans like me that think that Chris Kaman is such an upgrade on the German Team that we are more than happy to have him. But still we have to qualify for Bejing in July. The question is, if the German coach can change his system so it isn’t anymore like “give Dirk the Ball and watch him trying to play one against five”. The rest of the Team are just role players at best, but with Dirk LEADING the team, we had lots of success in the past years. So I think playing in the Semis with Kaman as an addition could be possible.

See it like it is .
Beijing is the last chance for Dirk and a lot of guys on this german team to play an olympic tournament .
So the addition of a player like Kaman is a big plus trying to get there .
But it will be hard to get him into the system because the core of this team has been together so long .
Let’s see.

So Germany will have Dirk and Kaveman on their fromt line. 2 seven footers. THIS is the reason why Tyson Chandler really shoulda been on this team…I guess we didn’t want another poor free throw shooter who’s limited offensively. Bosch and D12 (with Melo at the 3) should be able to check those two. (note: this is the proper usage of the word “check”. I’ve been hearing a lot of people copying Doris Burke and using it exclusively instead of “guard” or “match up with”)

To the good people at Slam; those HDRC-commercials really f*ck up you’re page, when switching between pages they leave white “blanks” so one cannot see the content of the article or comments. I know they pay the bills but please do something about it. Am I the only one experiencing this?
