No way in hell can Boston’s “big” 3 handle the Lakers BIG 3. We all know that KG is gonna TRY to guard Odom, but KG is not used to having someone take him off the dribble the way Odom will. Gasol is soft, but he ain’t playin’ agianst Timmy no more, he goin’ up against Perk and Perk ain’t nowhere near Timmy’s level on D. Bruce Bowen couldn’t stop Kobe, what would make anybody thing that a shorter, weaker Ray Allen will. And Radalsdjfa did a pretty good job guarding Ginobili, why would it be any different against P Double? Manu’s ankel wasn’t that bad. Besides, Manu without his quickness and elevation is practically P Double minus a fadeaway jumper.

odom is a respectable player going up against a future hall-of-famer. he will look bad early and often. gasol’s been incredibly average throughout the playoffs, and it would be very surprising if that changed, esp since perkins has been so high energy and effective. the only place for the lakers to strike is at the guards, where ray will indeed be hurting against kobe (posey should do a little better guarding him off the bench), and fisher will be able to out-muscle rondo (and if rondo proves too quick, farmar will be able to stay with him as he did with parker). as far as i’m concerned, pierce will be the difference maker, as he’s an la homeboy who will have home court advantage in both places. celts in 7

Hi y’all. I’ve been the Lakeshow’s fan since Mr. Johnsons’s days (IMO #32 is arguably only 2nd to #23 as GOAT) but realistically the Celts are probably going to win this one; they’re just more experienced, and unlike the Spurs they’re younger and quicker. Physically and athletically the finalists aren’t that far apart, but we all know that in sports heart, drive and mentality is just as important as athleticism (look up entry: Vince L. Carter if you want proof). The C’s with their big three just want it more than the Lakers, with the exception of KB24. Unless Kobe’s going to go MJ(the freak mentality and will I mean)on them in the finals (which is not impossible) and the rest of the Lakers execute flawlessly and not choke even one possesion in the series (and the C’s mess up a lot), the Celtics are going to win, I think. I just hope it’ll come to game 7 again.
Regardless of that though, i think when the finals came, there will be quite a few bluish, transparent, short shorts wearing people watching the game from the sidelines, Star-Wars style:)
No matter who wins, it’ll be great ball. I’m just lovin this.

Rose was so strong that D.J. couldn’t even turn the corner. He had to stick to fadeaway shots which isn’t the best shot selection. I have faith in him though he just needs to work really hard this off-season. He will be the second point guard off someone’s bench by the end of december though.

I agree, but they have to at least know who theyre looking for either as a postitional player or are after a certain skill set- eg. Steve Novak is not a ‘true’ power forward. And then they know who theyre looking for because of their own rankings and mock drafts by various sports networks and websites. Usually a team will be smart enough to pick the right player, but ATL picked 3-4 swingmen over 3 years either through trade and basically ALL their 1st round picks.
