Hire Flip! I’ll take a guy who’s made three straight trips to the Conference Finals over a raving lunatic control freak who couldn’t get a team with a young Michael Jordan to the Finals and couldn’t get a team with an old Michael Jordan to the playoffs.

Apparently Benny’s time as a Bull’s Mascot has garnered him some consideration as well. He also has that whole “I’ll shoot sh!t at the other team!” thing going for him so look out Dougie.

If your goal is to take a talented team to the Conf. finals and lose, there is only one Flip Saunders.

If the Bulls reached the Conference Finals within the next two years I’d be ecstatic. Realistically, though, I think they could get there in three years when the Celtics fall off and the Pistons—I don’t even know where the Pistons will be.

@Russ: The way the East is right now the Knicks could be heading to the Conf. Finals in three years. Thats not a knock on the Bulls, thats just how unstable it is on that side of the bracket.

Jerry Sloan should leave Utah and he would at least get this team to the finals in two years tops.

Actually… there has to be at least a half dozen solid canditates floating around in assistant coaching jobs in the NBA.

Tommy Patron says:
@Russ-You want Flip now? Slow your roll, man. Jeez.

I have a feeling that the Rifleman is the “person already interviewed that will be the lead assistant/possible head coach in-training” mentioned around Chicago.
