Is Derrick Rose Headed to South Beach?
Depends on Who You Want to Believe
According to his college teammate Joey Dorsey, that’s exactly what’s going to happen.
‘’Chicago’s got a lot of pressure on them because Derrick’s from Chicago,'’ Dorsey said. “But they’re going to take Beasley. I’ve talked to [Rose], and [Miami is] where I think he’s going to end up. You watch what I tell you. I know.'’
Reveal your sources, young man!
Naturally, both Chicago and Miami (holders of the top two picks in the draft) categorically denied Dorsey’s claim.
When the results of the Draft Lottery were announced, Rose sounded geeked about the prospect of playing in his hometown.
If Dorsey’s sources are to be trusted, his former teammate might have to get into a South Beach state of mind pretty soon. Which shouldn’t be too great a challenge.

I would much rather see that happen so Rose has a less likely chance of being a bust if he has D-Wade to defer to…

Mb = Kevin Durant … he is the new, take alot of shots and avg. 20 ppg … but he will come into his own. Take D Rose, you see what a PG can do for a team i.e. Chris Paul, D Will!!

with the Bulls recent draft history they’ll probably take Brooke Lopez or trade the pick for to the grizzlies for Mike Miller and next year’s 1st rounder.

I Dorsey in the Draft? I know he is like 30 years old, but I think that a team would use the 60th pick to take him. I know I would.

Mike Beasley is no where near Kevin Durant style of play, James Balla Balla. Mike is stronger, he can score with either hand, he will be a rebounding machine, and he won’t have to take 20 shots a game to get 20 points. He will be very efficient and I see his numbers being around the stat line of 18 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 assist a game. Beasley fits better in MIA though with some accomplished superstars like Marion and Wade. Rose will be better suited in CHI because he will be the main star along with Deng and they will be able to get Rose will be adjusted in CHI because that is his home sweet home. ha Durant needs to gain some weight at 6-10 and B-easy is 6-9, 240…I think he is going to be alright.

B. Long says:
I think both teams want to take Rose but Chicago would have to do more serious roster overhaul work to accomadate him than Miami and I think it will come down to what they can get for the players they will be forced to trade as far as who Chicago picks is concerned.

so what Dwanye Wade is from Chicago too. Spin that any way you want to too you media freaks

Candice says:
Rose said don’t believe anything that Dorsey say’s. He called him an asked him what was he thinking? > B.Long why would the Bulls need to do a serous roster overhaul? They need a pg and while Kirk is nice, he is not the right pg for this team.
May.29 at 9:45 pm
B. Long says:
Kirk,Duhon, and Gordon are players that would potentially have to be traded in order to make room for Rose…and I’m not even gonna start on why teaming a rookie point guard with Larry Hughes in the backcourt is a bad idea. But like I said it really comes down to what they can get for the a couple of the small guards or what they can get for a couple of the mediocre bigs(Drew Gooden,Noah,Thomas). That being said I think they will take Beasley.

nope! everyone is wrong. Chicago is taking Dorsey! its clearly and under the table deal that Pax has with JD.

Westy00 says:
I think the Heat will seriously take offers for the 2nd pick. If they trade it and obtain a star in his mid-20s, they could be a winner straight up. This draft has serious hype, so they could pick up some excellent talent for the rights to Rose or Beasley.
