I bet he’s cool with Mariachi music. This issue is also being discussed in the NFL, and if you watched closely to Monday Night Football this past year, you would have caught Al Michaels referring to halftime fireworks as “stupid” and the people who decide to use them as “nincompoops.” Considering he was saying that about fireworks being used in much larger stadiums, it just makes sense that it would be a larger problem in smaller arenas, such as NBA ones.

When I used to have seasons seats to the Raptors, one of my biggest complaints was the huge blast they’d set off when the announcer was dragging out “your Torontoooooooooo Raptors” BANG. It was a deafening and uncessary noise. This is something I actually think the league is right to crack down on. The organizations should be toning it down a bit in all aspects of the non basketball portions of the evening festivities
