Worthy of Your Attention
A quick look at tonight’s games as we head into the regular season’s final week …
Indiana @ Washington: This is a do-or-die game for the Pacers, as a loss would signal an end to their already meager Playoff hopes.
(The ratings for this otherwise unwatchable game are expected to be a little higher than usual, as the handful of Hawks diehards on this entire planet are all expected to tune in tonight.)
Boston @ New York: The Knicks had one of their toughest practice of the season … because Donnie Walsh was in the building for the first time. They’re also giving away free food tonight to a packed house as MSG sees its final game this year.
(Gotta be honest, I’m gonna miss this circus once the season ends.)
Golden State @ Phoenix: In another must-win situation, the Warriors go for their 49th victory of the season tonight, and then must rush back to their hotel rooms and check the ticker in the hope that Denver stumbles over the next few days.

If the Oakland Globetrotters (GS Warriors) stop playing early, I will be saddened. However, I also did just buy a Melo team USA jersey, so I guess I could rock that. Why can’t the Mavs stumble instead of the Nugs?

Mo Charlo says:
Oh, because the Mavs already clinched. Also, boo Pacers, I want Hotlanta to take down the C’s in the first round.

If Denver loses to Memphis, they deserve what they get. Alas, I don’t see it happening. I wonder if Lang has a bottle of champagne on ice if the Hawks clinch tonight.

Memphis beat San Antonio the last game of the season last year. Of course, San Antonio had clinched the playoffs and were resting everybody except for Matt Bonner.

Regarding the Knicks game: This could be Isiah’s final home game as the Knicks coach. What is the over/under on him getting fired? Russ, you should totally be at this game.

I know Lang is going to the Knicks game. The free food is a nice gesture, but guess what? The money they lose on that, they more than recoup from the Rangers (hockey) having at least 2 home games in the playoffs right now. But still a nice gesture.

Yo Mo.. don’t be dissin’ the Red Rocket. LOL. Does anyone have a clue in which direction the Knicks are trying to rebuild in? David Lee is their only bright spot. Ha. David Lee. I wanna see them draft a definate point guard (or a big shooting guard). No more of this Jamal Crawford, Nate Robinson crap. They need a dude who can bring the ball up the floor and actually set up the offense, instead of just looking for a decent 20 foot jumper, or maybe just a snipe. Maybe they can find a Kyle Korver in the 2nd round. I hope they fall far enough to get Brandon Jennings next year… I’m afraid NY may actually win 35 games, which could put em’ in the play-offs. Watch out for dem’ Hawks. =)

Man, that free food was NOT GOOD for some people. I got to watch the obese father & son team sitting in front of me tear into one sausage dog after another. They made at least 4 trips to the concession stands (and/or bathroom). After they finished the dogs, they got ice cream, pretzels, cracker jacks, pizza, sode and more. Unreal. The scrimmage game going on was kinda interesting. It was like an the old park vet (Cassell) showing up to show the kids a thing or two.
