Worthy of Your Attention

by Marcel Mutoni

The San Antonio Spurs are putting the finishing touches on another one of their trademark seasons. There have been injuries, the coach (as he is wont to do) has repeatedly questioned their worth as human beings, Bruce Bowen has done Bruce Bowen things, and as the season winds down, the Spurs are sitting in their rightful place: Atop the Western Conference.

While practically everyone else in the West spent the year reloading their rosters and changing things up, the Spurs laid back in the cut (though, truth be told, they did make one smart move), and at the end of the day, it looks like they’ll come out on top yet again. It’s not hard to tell why people hate these guys.

The Warriors are in San Antonio tonight, fighting for their Playoff lives. Golden State holds the eighth seed over Denver by only half a game.

With San Antonio playing their best ball of the season - they’re currently enjoying a seven game winning streak - Golden State will be hard-pressed to increase their lead over the eternally frustrating Nuggets.

I like to pretend that the Warrior’s 2-0 record against the Spurs so far makes them the favorites for tonight. Then I remembered Tim Duncan is going to eat their face. Timmy hungry.

how do you watch the nuggets/suns game alongside this one? you’d need two tvs.
and mutoni is right, “eternally frustrating” is a good way to describe the nuggs.

The Spurs have been on top like, seven times, along with Dallas, Houston, Phoenix, New Orleans, and the Lakers. It changes everyday. Really, that hype is annoying Mutoni.

Phuck Robert Horry! This man is the LUCKIEST scrub to ever touch a court. He sure knows how to pick em though, i wouldn’t bet against that man.

I hope the warriors and the nuggets make the playoffs. If the mavs don’t that would be halarious.

Sean says:
Yeah Horry is a lucky scrub, he just hit some huge shots during some title runs which his team would have lost had he not hit or contributed… Lucky scrub alright, one of the biggest clutch shooters of our times is what he is. Numbers or not, he is a man in the playoffs and finals. I guess GOD is on his SIDE.

tealish says:
Horry isn`t a scrub. It`s not like he sat on the bench for his rings. Never the superstar, sure, but how many playoff game-winners does he have now…no clue, but more than any active superstar in the L right now that`s for sure.

Kevin Wilson says:
Horry ain’t a scrub. Rasheed Wallace would have blocked a scrub’s shot. Scrubs don’t win multiple titles with three different teams.

Robert Horry always made my NBALive custom team… with Vin Baker that was a sweet forward combo. He threw a towel at Danny Ainge’s face once….and got traded so he could win more rings. Smart move.
