The Post Up: Denver and Dirk, Cool Under Pressure

Nuggets and Mavs fight for their playoff lives

By: Holly MacKenzie

It’s Friday, the last Friday of the regular season and I can’t believe we are really here. Only three games last night and it is really too bad that the Dallas/Utah game wasn’t the second part of the TNT double-header because it was insane. Thankfully for everyone who was watching TNT, they showed the final seconds of the game and showed Dirk Nowitzki and the Mavericks are serious when it comes to making playoffs.

Obviously, I wanted both Denver and Golden State to make the postseason, at the expense of Dallas. Now that the Mavs have been bringing it strong to close the season, I cannot hate what they’ve been doing. They simply are refusing to be shut out of the playoffs. The shot by Deron was something, but then for Dallas to inbound the ball, find Dirk and watch as he calmly threw it at the basket? The Mavs are clicking at just the right time and Matt from Hardwood Paroxysm was there.

While you’re there, scroll down and check the vid of Lance Allred, the D-Leaguer who has been signed by Cleveland if you want a clip of some awkward television. Yeah.
Speaking of refusing to lose, Iverson, Iverson, Iverson. Even though I was going for the Warriors to win the game, I could not root against him and he had me cheering for him by the end of the game. The man was just fantastic from opening tip to final buzzer, coming up huge whenever his team needed him. One one play he gathered himself, drove to the basket and closed his eyes, bracing for the contact as he went up against the Warrior big men before taking the hit and crashing to the floor, hard. Marcus Camby immediately rushes over the give him a hand in getting up, Iverson shakes it off, shakes his hand with the broken finger and then goes to the foul line to knock down some free throws. No commotion, no complaining, no reaction. Sacrificing his body for the game is the only way he knows how to play. There is only one Allen Iverson.

As disappointed as I was that the Warriors lost, these playoffs are going to be absolutely insane. We are lucky, lucky people to get to experience the postseason this year.

About the Kobe video: Eric Pincus over at Hoopsworld confirmed with Kobe himself, that the video was made possible with special effects. Still funny as anything though.

Tonight is the huge game between the Hornets and Lakers. 10:30pm Est tip-off. I recommend watching it because the MVP award might just be decided upon in this game. I think it is probably going to go to Paul regardless, but this game is huge for both teams with the Lakers only 1.5 games behind the Hornets for best record in the West.

One more link for the day: While I was looking for NCAA Tourney coverage I stumbled upon this Kansas Jayhawks blog. Written by Ryan Greene, the coverage from the tourney games, locker rooms etc. was probably the most entertaining that I’ve found. Great stuff!

Enjoy the weekend, watch lots of ball and get ready to discuss some of these match ups and the standings on Monday.
Denver 114 Golden State 105

In the match up of the year for both teams it was not quite win or go home, but basically win or stay home, in terms of which team would get to go on to the playoffs. With identical records, three games remaining each and only one playoff spot available between them, the game was huge. It was just a bit more crucial for the Warriors, who lost out on the season series with the Nuggets and in the case of a tie, will be the team to miss the postseason. Unfortunately for them, Allen Iverson and the rest of his Denver teammates were not about to let the season come down to tie-breakers. With Iverson pouring in 33 points, the Nuggets rebounded from an early 16-point deficit, trailing 37-22 at the end of the first quarter to turn things around in the second, outscoring Golden State 39-23 as they took a 61-60 lead at the break. In the second half, things only went downhill for the Warriors as Denver found their rhythm, led by Iverson and JR Smith who came off of the bench and scored 24 points in the game. Denver led 89-82 at the start of the fourth and they quickly extended their lead to as many as 17 before the Warriors cut the deficit to nine. Iverson refused anything less than a victory and was huge in the final minutes, scoring a layup and then drilling a three-pointer to all but seal the game for the Nuggets as the Warriors spoiled a triple-double from Baron Davis in the loss. Besides Iverson’s 33 points and 9 assists, JR Smith scored 24 points off of the bench as Carmelo Anthony added 25 points and 9 rebounds and Eduardo Najera added 10. Monta Ellis led the Warriors offensively with 29 points as Davis had 20 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists. Stephen Jackson scored 18 points, Al Harrington scored 20 and Andris Biedrins added 10 points and 19 rebounds as the Warriors out-rebounded Golden State 52-44 in the loss.

Dallas 97 Utah 94

While the Golden State/Denver game was definitely the match up of the night, the contest between the Jazz and Mavs turned out to have the craziest finish. After trailing by as many as 14 points early, the Utah Jazz came back in the third quarter against the Mavericks, setting the scene for a battle in the fourth quarter. With Josh Howard leaving the game in the third with a sore knee and not returning, Jason Terry stepped it up and scored all 21 of his points in the second half as the Mavs tried to survive the push from Utah. With neither team leading by more than five points throughout the fourth, Dallas went up 92-89 on a shot by Dirk Nowitzki with 29 seconds remaining. A dunk by Deron Williams was waved off on the next possession because he had been fouled prior to the score, and he was sent to the foul line where he connected on both shots to cut the lead down to one with 11 seconds to play. Terry drew the foul for Dallas and went to the line where he knocked down two free throws, extending the Maverick lead to three with 9 seconds remaining where the Jazz came out of a time out and Williams rose and drained a three-pointer to tie the game with five seconds remaining. Dallas immediately inbounded the ball, went the length of the court and Nowitzki three up a three at the buzzer and he made it for the fantastic finish. Nowitzki led the Mavericks with 32 points, Terry had 21 and Brandon Bass scored 14 points. Deron Williams had 18 points and 12 assists for the Jazz as Mehmet Okur finished with 19 points and 14 rebounds, Andrei Kirilenko scored 15 points and Carlos Boozer added 10 points in the loss.

LA Lakers 106 LA Clippers 78

In their final meeting of the year, the Lakers continued their dominance over the Clippers this season. While the return of Elton Brand is a positive for the Clippers, they were missing Corey Maggette who sat with a strained hamstring. In addition, they lost Quinton Ross midway through the second quarter with a leg injury and he did not return. While the Lakers were up by 10 for most of the contest, the Clippers continued to hang around until midway through the third where the Lakers used a 32-11 run to close the quarter and open the fourth. The Lakers lead stretched to as many as 32 points midway through the fourth quarter and Lamar Odom was the only Laker starter to get action in the final period as the bench played big minutes, giving the Lakers rest for their match up with the Hornets tonight. Luke Walton led the Lakers in scoring with 18 points as Kobe Bryant scored 16 points, Lamar Odom had 14 points and 13 rebounds and Pau Gasol added 13 points. Rookie Al Thornton had 22 points and 10 rebounds for the Clippers and Elton Brand scored 23 to go with 7 rebounds, while Smush Parker scored 12 points off of the bench in the loss. The Lakers have defeated the Clippers by an average of 26 points in four victories this season.

Allen Iverson will never cease being a badass. And when was the last time Deron Williams didn’t have double figure assists?

Dirk is such a choker. First he chokes Phoenix, now Utah. I’m offering my humble props to the man. These playoffs will be great.

I can’t believe I just read Smush Parkers name.

Shia’s still on the Panama City Hillbilly tip.

Apr.11 at 10:08 am

Holly MacKenzie says:
aww, boy. Great games. Frustrating to see the Warriors go crazy when Denver threw the zone at them, but whatever. JR SMITH…. Came up big for the Nuggets again.

Apr.11 at 10:09 am

Bryan says:
All I can say is f*ck Dallas.

Apr.11 at 10:10 am

BETCATS says:
Allen Iverson is basketball

Apr.11 at 10:10 am

Eboy says:
Yeah, I agree, Shia, but they look like they are actually going to be a actual threat then just a cupcake.

James AKA the artist formerly known as Krayzie Bone says:
Holly, the Dallas Utah game not denver Utah. top of the piece

Apr.11 at 10:13 am

hursty says:
@ bet- what type of bomb threat?

Apr.11 at 10:13 am

BETCATS says:
all i can say is i agree with shia. Fu(k Dallas

Apr.11 at 10:14 am

BETCATS says:
we get a letter in 8th period but basically for 2 hours we sat in the football arena while police, bomb sniffing dogs, firemen, and rental cops searched the school.

Apr.11 at 10:15 am

BETCATS says:
we just got let back in

Apr.11 at 10:15 am

hursty says:
lakers and houston to win. If Detroit rests their starters then washington.

Apr.11 at 10:15 am

Cub Buenning says:
After watching last night’s performance, I think Denver should focus all of their defensive attention at playing zone.
1.) It gets them to work together, talk and play with intensity on that end of the court.
2.) Camby is not a good 1-on-1 defender (as are a lot of DPOY’s) and the zone would accentuate his weakside prowess.
3.) Melo played only zone in college.

Apr.11 at 10:17 am

hursty says:
who the Fu(k has 8 periods bet? (apart from yours, Is this common in the US) my school has 5 with recess and lunch.

Apr.11 at 10:17 am

Cub Buenning says:
Love the 2-game value (with tiebreakers) of that GSW v. DEN tilt last night.

Apr.11 at 10:19 am

hursty says:
Cub- is that cos melo doesnt play defence or just Syracuse strategy?

Apr.11 at 10:20 am

BETCATS says:
Cub, your boys played well last night. They seemed to gell on the offensive end of the ball now. If you guys can stop making Camby and Iverson do all the D then………..

Apr.11 at 10:21 am

hursty says:
oh yeah…. I know its been a while and i know youve all missed me (i can see by the comment no.s on the Post up), glad to be back. Reason - holidays are in SESSION! then exams straight after. Also, daylight savings is over.

Apr.11 at 10:21 am

BETCATS says:
we got 8 periods, 45 minutes each, and in 8th we will get the letter with the full story of what happened. You problay have Block Schudle, that is aviable in the USA too, just not here

Apr.11 at 10:23 am

Holly MacKenzie says:
Cub, that zone shook the Warriors. Nellie looked like he wanted to walk off of the bench and leave them to figure it out for themselves. The guys played so well together last night. I got a little worried when JR picked up that tech, but he was calm afterwards and he, Iverson, and Melo click really well. Najera was good, too.

Apr.11 at 10:25 am

Cub Buenning says:
hursty, yes to both inquiries regarding Melo.
BET, if they play zone, then it can finally become TEAM defense.
JR Smith, keep going hard to the rack!
His continued maturation has been paramount. Still has wee relapses, but SO much better….

Apr.11 at 10:27 am

hursty says:
so why is your school special bet? also, hope everyone is ok.

Apr.11 at 10:28 am

Holly MacKenzie says:
Yes, Cub, I am sticking with JR. SO much talent and he looked like he wanted it badly last night. Great to see!

Apr.11 at 10:28 am

BETCATS says:
Cub i agree, but in the playoffs a Zone might not work agianst a 3 point team (Utah?). You just need to have everyone lined up and cordinated and knowing where they should be at on D.

Apr.11 at 10:29 am

hursty says:
@ holly- is it a contract year for JR?

Apr.11 at 10:30 am

BETCATS says:
its not, this is just what the schudle is, the Block schools are the differnet ones. I think everyone is ok, but i will find that out 8th period.

Apr.11 at 10:33 am

BETCATS says:
33?

Apr.11 at 10:34 am

hursty says:
i hope you are sayin ’schedule’. Otherwise i wasnt aware that you were suddenly german bet :)

Apr.11 at 10:34 am

Tom says:
Great game last night, if hornets keep no.1 seed, it’s very possible that the 8 seed could take out the 1 seed for the second year in a row. AI is incredible, there is really nothing more to say on that.

Apr.11 at 10:35 am

BETCATS says:
you know what i meant hursty.

Apr.11 at 10:36 am

hursty says:
if my school had an emergency (do you remember APEC in Sydney?) we would go into the town hall or church. not sure how we are all sposed to fit 2000 people into a church built in the 1800’s but whatever.

Apr.11 at 10:37 am

Cub Buenning says:
hursty, he has one more year left on his deal (next year.)
BET-I think it would work, even against a good shooting team (utah seems kinda average from 3?) Work better than their normal, apathetic effort playing man.

Apr.11 at 10:37 am

BETCATS says:
we go to the football stadium and we got like 5000-6000 people, it was so cramped

Apr.11 at 10:39 am

hursty says:
i did but since you have a quota of 5,749,294 posts a month an extra couple cant hurt. my own is a tick under at 4,583,398

Apr.11 at 10:40 am

Bryan says:
Yeah Eboy…but I still think whoever they draw in the first round will beat them.

Apr.11 at 10:40 am

riggs says:
hursty, did u just say recess?

Apr.11 at 10:40 am

Tariq says:
“Warrior big men” is an oxymoronic phrase.

Apr.11 at 10:41 am

Cub Buenning says:
it is right after snack time.

Apr.11 at 10:42 am

hursty says:
if houston was playing denver in the first round (either tmac or melo would get out, or they would commit joint team elimination) then watch out. alston, head, Tmac, battier, brooks?, Jackson, novak.

Apr.11 at 10:44 am

hursty says:
@ riggs, yes. thats what we call it in big school. You may know it as little lunch, naptime, small eating lunch which is not actually lunch because it is too early.

Apr.11 at 10:46 am

Tariq says:
Oh…and congrats Cub. I guess my tranny analogy finally gave the Nuggets the motivational spark they needed.

Apr.11 at 10:46 am

Simone Lawy says:
FU*K DALLAS, FU*K CUBAN, FU*K DIRK……

Apr.11 at 10:48 am

hursty says:
someone is angry. calm down big cat.

Apr.11 at 10:48 am

Tariq says:
It’s games like yesterday’s that make me quake in fear that I will never see Iverson play in the flesh before his skills erode.

Apr.11 at 10:48 am

Simone Lawy says:
Joe dumars once said: This is kobe’s year, he deserve it, he’s the only one can have d’ MVP Award.

Apr.11 at 10:50 am

Cub Buenning says:
Congrats, Tariq?!?! I am just hoping that there will be playoff basketball in my city. Why is there so much Dallas hate?!?!

Apr.11 at 10:51 am

Bryan says:
Because Dallas is full of punks.

Apr.11 at 10:54 am

hursty says:
Simone, they were gonna make the playoffs anyways…. knock out in first round. Utah is safe. chill dude.

Apr.11 at 10:55 am

Tariq says:
Cub: I’m congratulating you on the win against Golden State. Why are you so surprised? I hate Dallas because Dirk bugs the bejeezus out of me, and also because they killed my dream of a postseason that would include both Denver and the Warriors. Also, Cuban sometimes bugs me, but at other times I find him amusing and even admirable.

Apr.11 at 10:55 am

Candice says:
Please Nuggets, I just want yall to win 2 more games. Please!

Apr.11 at 10:55 am

H to the izzo says:
I like Dallas,I have no reason not to as I’m sure most people here don’t.

Apr.11 at 10:56 am

hursty says:
feel sorry for ya tariq. believe in the power of maths though buddy. :)

Apr.11 at 10:57 am

Holly MacKenzie says:
I feel you, Tariq. He is unbelievable.

Apr.11 at 11:01 am

Tom says:
One thing I noticed during the game last night, Biedrins is really good at running the break for a big man….he is the perfect centre for a Don Nelson team, because 1) he doesn’t demand the ball, 2)he is content to just clean up after everyone else’s misses.

Apr.11 at 11:03 am

hursty says:
also inc. in that discussion/statement Tom… Bogut, Z (sometimes), diaw, all portland centres, the fugly Rash.

Apr.11 at 11:05 am

James AKA the artist formerly known as Krayzie Bone says:
Hursty, my first year in high school we had 10, 36 minute peroids with 3 minutes in between
it was a system by idiots, but there are plenty of pedagogically insane ideas out there

Apr.11 at 11:05 am

Tariq says:
Tom: Valid point, but a perfect center for these Warriors would be an actual center. When their shots aren’t falling, their lack of interior offense makes them look like a bunch of jumper-happy Calbert Cheaneys. I hope they find a way to get Elton Brand in the summer. I doubt it, though.

Apr.11 at 11:08 am

TADOne says:
I got to see AI his first 6 years in Philly more times then I can remember, and I can tell you Tariq, the man is more than worth the price of admission.

Apr.11 at 11:08 am

hursty says:
@ James, doesnt that mean you would need triple consecutive periods of the same class to learn anything? sh!t it takes me 10 minutes to get from one side of the road to the other between classes. btw, we have five 1 hour classes.

Apr.11 at 11:08 am

BETCATS says:
Tariq are you giving me the silent treatment?

Apr.11 at 11:09 am

Bryan says:
I wish I could see Iverson and Kobe.

Apr.11 at 11:10 am

BETCATS says:
Me and Yamen feel unwanted. Whatever happened to the majestic Penny Dreadful?

Apr.11 at 11:10 am

Tariq says:
TADOne: Are you trying to rub it in my face? Salt in my wounds? Well, two can play that game: I fill up my car with gas for 9 bucks. Suck on that, Piston boy.

Apr.11 at 11:11 am

BETCATS says:
Andres Biendres is a monster. But Okafor will be aviable this summer, so if they add him….

Apr.11 at 11:11 am

TADOne says:
Let me orange myself.

Apr.11 at 11:11 am

Tariq says:
BET: Silent treatment? Never that. Penny Dreadful is still around. Check out the other blog: “Shawn Kemp’s Offspring”

Apr.11 at 11:12 am

Tariq says:
BET: I would love to see Emeka with the Warriors.

Apr.11 at 11:13 am

BETCATS says:
I just clicked on your name. Wherever it takes me i go

Apr.11 at 11:13 am

hursty says:
and tad with the comeback…..??? (that was nice tariq)

Apr.11 at 11:13 am

Cub Buenning says:
Tariq, i just meant that the years of objectively watching hoops have soften my “us/we” stance on a team like the Nuggets. They are still “my” team, i guess.
Dirk bugs you and you aren’t down with an owner that would do ANYTHING to win?
love that cal chaney reference, though.
H, well put.

Apr.11 at 11:14 am

BETCATS says:
I would love to see Emeka leave the Bobcats, just to guarntee Sam FU(KIN Vincet get fired. He can be replaced, it will be hard but it can be done. Our first round pick will just be trade bait.

Apr.11 at 11:15 am

hursty says:
that would be sweet tariq.

Apr.11 at 11:15 am

BETCATS says:
Tad, oranging yourself in front of childern? Go in a dark room with clenex if you want to do that. Sicko

Apr.11 at 11:15 am

BETCATS says:
Emeka and Biendris. That would be a crazy front court

Apr.11 at 11:16 am

Cub Buenning says:
I also like that Okafor/G State fit!
Tariq, as someone who drives an inordinate amount of time (so i can live in the mtns), I hate you.

Apr.11 at 11:17 am

Tariq says:
Cub: Like I said, Cuban bugs me SOMETIMES, but he’s still the best owner around, as far as I know. If I were a player, I’d love to play for him. As for Dirk, I appreciate his unique skill set, but I just feel like…watching him makes me feel uncomfortable. He’s so…awkward sometimes. I can’t quite articulate what it is about him. Also, he’s the quintessential choke artist. Compared to Dirk, Webber is a cold-blooded assassin.

Apr.11 at 11:18 am

BETCATS says:
it can happen, all that Chris Mullin & Co. need to do is throw lots of money at Emeka and he will bite

Apr.11 at 11:18 am

hursty says:
So, this has been mulling over in my mind for a while considering the performances of Deron and CP3 the last few years…..

Apr.11 at 11:19 am

Tariq says:
Recent heroic notwithstanding.

Apr.11 at 11:19 am

BETCATS says:
…?

Apr.11 at 11:19 am

Tariq says:
*heroics

Apr.11 at 11:20 am

hursty says:
lets have some hints then…. think about my context…

Apr.11 at 11:23 am

BETCATS says:
hursty, nobody cares that much, just tell us or move on

Apr.11 at 11:23 am

BETCATS says:
90

Apr.11 at 11:25 am

hursty says:
fine then. IS ANDREW BOGUT a flop or was he rightfully the no 1. pick at that stage? does he have any chance of MIP? hes got 15, 10, 3.5 and 1.7 blocks and a steal to go this year ( or there abouts).

Apr.11 at 11:26 am

Tariq says:
MIP should be Hedo. Or, at the very least, Calderon.

Apr.11 at 11:27 am

BETCATS says:
No because Andrew is still dazed by ‘bling bling’, MIP will go to somebody like John Salmons, maybe Marvin Williams, possibly Gerald Wallace, who knows.

Apr.11 at 11:27 am

BETCATS says:
yeah Hedo and No Way He Did That Jose are the front runners

Apr.11 at 11:28 am

BETCATS says:
No Way Jose is the simplified version of that name

Apr.11 at 11:28 am

H to the izzo says:
Andrew Bogut may not have been a bust, but he is an assh*le.

Apr.11 at 11:29 am

hursty says:
yeh probly hedo i think. Calderon is great he just doesnt get the minutes. trade Ford for some picks or a slasher.

Apr.11 at 11:30 am

BETCATS says:
Darko for MIP?

Apr.11 at 11:30 am

TADOne says:
Bogut sucks. Hedo for MIP.

Apr.11 at 11:31 am

hursty says:
He can resign this year i think… or did he already? i forget. still lovin the footage of him high 5ing the non teammates 6 times. How is he a jerk though (apart from the bling?)

Apr.11 at 11:31 am

Tariq says:
BET: No.

Apr.11 at 11:32 am

hursty says:
everyone is so quick to critiscise. why?

Apr.11 at 11:32 am

BETCATS says:
7 points 6 rebounds 2 blocks per game

Apr.11 at 11:34 am

hursty says:
kwame at the end of the bench where he should be. I’ve seen him in H.S yes he was bigger but he had SKILLS! (ridiculous now since he couldnt catch the ball if paid to now) passing, pivots, small hooks, pyshical play, lil bit of D.

Apr.11 at 11:35 am

BETCATS says:
no no no hursty

Apr.11 at 11:36 am

hursty says:
who darko? thats MIP for the Grizzlies. 10th man on a good team. still he has a ring.

Apr.11 at 11:38 am

TADOne says:
Hursty: If you mean why do we hate on Bogut, I personally don’t see much in his game that impresses me. He is slightly above a stiff and hasn’t shown significant improvement in his game since his rookie year. He definitely does not make his teammates better.

Apr.11 at 11:38 am

hursty says:
Im sure there was a reason for the no. 1 pick though. Jordan didnt pick him just to call him a f@ggot then abuse his @ss on xbox all day.

Apr.11 at 11:38 am

H to the izzo says:
The Grizzlies are good?

Apr.11 at 11:39 am

hursty says:
didnt they make the semis in 05-06? (the grizz)

Apr.11 at 11:40 am

hursty says:
whats the link holly? not watching vids due to broadband issues.

Apr.11 at 11:42 am

Tom says:
Anyone think Monta Ellis should get MIP again, he’s upped all his numbers from last year, this year he’s gone from good to damn good, which is much harder than going from bad or average to good….btw i like Bogut, i think he’s a solid big and gets a bad rep around here b/c of those bling bling comments

Apr.11 at 11:43 am

Nick says:
Cub–I agree. That team has a lot of god weakside defenders and no good one on one D. Ivy and camby can stack steals / blocks swarming in a zone, but get beat one on one.

Apr.11 at 11:44 am

hursty says:
Bogut did look sorta like a goon though when he had the shaved head.

Apr.11 at 11:46 am

Holly MacKenzie says:
Kobe on an American Idol video. He is all over the place, trying to get his face out there for mvp, I guess!

Apr.11 at 11:46 am

Bryan says:
Bogut isn’t a stiff.

Apr.11 at 11:46 am

RV says:
Hursty where do you live?

Apr.11 at 11:48 am

Eboy says:
Chris Quinn should be MIP and Kobe’s American Idol video was horrible due to the fact that he had a round bandage on his cheek the size of a small salad plate.

Apr.11 at 11:48 am

TADOne says:
Shia, I said slightly above a stiff. Stop misquoting me, f*cker.

Apr.11 at 11:49 am

hursty says:
Sydney

Apr.11 at 11:50 am

Bryan says:
Jr smith for MIP haha.

Apr.11 at 11:50 am

H to the izzo says:
Bring back Pat Burke!

Apr.11 at 11:50 am

TADOne says:
Don’t get me wrong, Bogut has skills, but to me he should be so much better than he has shown. He was a beast in college, and to me hasn’t shown me much in the league, other than putting up decent numbers on a bad team. Big deal.

Bryan says:
Saying he hasn’t improved is a little strong. If nowhere else he blocks shots now which he hardly did even in college.

Apr.11 at 11:54 am

hursty says:
hes av. a block more this year than last year. improved D is also a factor in that.

Apr.11 at 11:56 am

TADOne says:
Shia, you are a misquoting machine. Of course he has improved since his rookie year, he just hasn’t shown the improvement that a former #1 pick with his skill set should show. That is just my opinion. In the East, Bogut should easily be a dominant 20/10 guy without much effort.

Apr.11 at 11:57 am

Bryan says:
The bucks are a perimeter team so he doesn’t get the touches to score 20 but he’s getting you 10. And 2 blocks now.

Apr.11 at 11:59 am

hursty says:
ok guys thanks for your opinions i gotta go.

hursty says:

Apr.11 at 3:55 pm

Elyse says:
Holly, I certainly hope kobe is smart enough to know that lobbying for MVP on American Idol would be ineffective. How many voters do you know that would see him on there and be like, “ya…I wasn’t sure before, but Kobe is a man of the people- talented and talentless”.

Apr.11 at 3:56 pm

Elyse says:
(sorry, that talented and talentless was in reference to the contestants..aka the people)

Apr.11 at 4:05 pm

Tom says:
either way, whether this is his way of lobbying for mvp or not, it’s nice to see Kobe joking around acting natural…….in the past all his interviews and stuff have come off so scripted it turned a lot of people off to him.
