Zeke is a tool.

Unbelievable.

Sam Mitchell's Conscience says:
Here’s my theory:
Zeke has a list of things he wants to do before he gets fired, and the past years have all just been him trying to push the limit to see how far he can take this game. So far he’s winning. What he should really do though is just make a completely, 100%, ridiculous trade that everyone can agree that it is ridiculous, and then see if that gets him fired. I’m thinking David Lee for Joey Graham. If that doesn’t get him fired, then nothing will.

RV says:
yeah its crazy that he thinks that way, but i wouldn’t exactly say he slammed all those guys specifically like the article suggests…Thomas must have compromising pics of Spike Lee or Derek Jeter, how else does he still have his job?

Russ Bengtson says:
If Isiah is still around in ANY capacity next year, no local papers should cover the Knicks AT ALL. All of them should just run AP stories. I see what he’s saying about anything less than a championship being a failure (tell that to the Nets, though), but everything he says is just a continued insult to the fanbase that continues to support his abortion of a team night in and night out. GET RID OF HIM, DONNIE.

Russ Bengtson says:
Not to mention it’s obvious Isiah wasn’t around at all during ‘94 or ‘99. New York was going nuts for those teams. Seems like it was 100 years ago now.

riggs says:
“Donnie Walsh and Isiah Thomas held press conferences in the same room at the Garden on Wednesday night, separated only by 45 minutes and another universe.” hahaha

riggs says:
on another note, if walsh wants to clean his hands of this debacle known only as the isiah era then everything needs to be torn down and rehauled, from top to bottom.

Sam Mitchell's Conscience says:
On a semi-unrelated-but-strangely-still-on-topic note, I would also like for Sam Mitchell to be fired now. Please.

Saku 39 says:
Even though I want Isaih gone, I don’t think he “slams” the 90s Knicks. This is Isola at his finest.

ciolkstar says:
Yeah. He just said they haven’t had a team to be proud of since ‘73. I guess meaning you can only be proud of a championship winning squad. Those Knicks teams of the 1990’s were so gully, as a diehard Jordan fan and Spurs fan I’d seen plenty of battles. Their toughness was guaranteed to be there every night. They didn’t always win, but I guarantee you that NYC was and still is proud of those squads.

Spaceship Jay says:
Never mind the Knicks.. Does he want another Nba job? This is crazy…

He needs to be fired by the end of the day. Seriously, what is Donnie Walsh waiting for? Even if he hadn’t said this, there’s no excuse for him to still be there. None at all.

TADOne says:
“What does a guy have to do to get fired around here?!”

James AKA the artist formerly known as Krayzie Bone says:
Maybe he is being fired this week and is getting ugly, orhas been told he is now an official lame duck.

iLL wiLL says:
Who will Zeke take this year in the first round? A 2nd round prospect at best, or an undrafted free agent?

Apr.10 at 4:44 pm

Spaceship Jay says:
Maybe he’s going for unemployment

Apr.10 at 4:51 pm

Sam Rubenstein says:
Maybe he’s “special” and we shouldn’t be mocking him, we should be helping him.
Nah just kidding… please ESPN… you hired Steve Phillips, please hire Isiah!

Apr.10 at 4:52 pm

BxBaller says:
Isiah must really be trying his hardest to get fired. He still must be high off that little celebration that the Pistons had on Tuesday night.

Apr.10 at 7:07 pm

Jukai says:
iLL wiLL, he isn’t taking anyone in the draft. He ain’t the general manager anymore.

Jeronimo says:
I’m just thinking, man, you really are civilized in the US. In other countries (namely Spain, Greece, Turkey and Argentina, to name the few I know for sure) soccer coaches who are certainly not as inept and poisonous as Zeke has been to the Knicks pretty much have to escape to avoid being lynched by the fans, and this guy…

Apr.10 at 8:39 pm

iLL wiLL says:
Oh yeah, thats right, Donnie Walsh is in the house. Well, at least when we are making our mock drafts, we’ll at least have a better chance of getting the pick correct now that a normal GM is at the helm.

Apr.10 at 8:53 pm

Russ Bengtson says:
PS: MSG is a dump, though. It’s just the greatest dump on Earth.

this is really getting so bad its not even funny anymore

AC says:
Not the brightest cookie is he? By the way, Sam Mitchell is a good coach. Fire him and you go back to Toronto’s round robin of basement seasons… stability is key right now.

Apr.10 at 10:42 pm

AC says:
…. Maybe we should ask Zeke if he’s seen Grandmama lately. LJ should come out of retirement to posterize him in his suit.

chintao says:
I don’t care if the Knicks didn’t win it all in the ’90s. Those teams had integrity. Even when some players were making headlines for the wrong reasons, they never lost focus on the court. The team’s character was evident and consistent, and the tone was set at the top. Speaking from personal experience (at work, not in the NBA), no one’s going to be committed if the man in charge isn’t showing and proving. In that instance, the boss becomes an insurmountable impediment. succeding becomes impossible, so people just try to juice the organization for as much loot as he can. Prolly lota’ us regular cats been there, am I right?

Jeronimo you’re so right,Zeke should come to Angola.Last year one of the biggest soccer teams here was struggling big time and after 3 straight losses fans went to the training facilities and blocked the entrance to the team’s coach, everyone else was allowed in but him.Police was called and the coach got in,then people started to throw rocks from outside, after 15 min of practice the coach called quit,a day later he was sacked in a press conference.Thats whats up.

Mark Z says:
Well… He’s just flailing his arms around now, isn’t he? I never understood the disrespect Ewing and his Knicks teams in the media and around the League. NYCers have a short memory, but Ewing was basically run out of town after failing to deliver a ring. Those Knicks teams ALWAYS seemed to play hard. That’s something Isiah’s teams have almost NEVER done.
