Central Division coaches, meet the firing squad
The Playoffs are here! Oh sorry guys, not for you, Bulls, or you, Bucks.
Interim coach Jim Boylan was just that.
“I was brought in here in the middle of the season,” Boylan said a day before the Bulls ended his tenure. “It’s kind of a tough situation. A lot of things happened.”
Still, Boylan described his experience as “fun.”
“I had a lot of fun doing it,” he said. “It was full of all kinds of experiences—some good, some not so good. Sitting in the head coach’s seat was comfortable and enjoyable. I loved the challenge.”
Oooooh, he had fun. That’s got to be a direct shot at Skiles.
And Larry Krsytkowiak, who was an interim coach last season, was fired too. Recently named GM John Hammond gave some reasoing why they came to their decision, but let’s listen to what Andrew Bogut thinks:
Bogut was asked if a veteran coach was important to the Bucks’ future.
“Yeah, I think it is,” he said. “We just need to bring someone that’s going to buy into the system. I think all 12 guys need to buy into the general manager’s system and the head coach’s system. If we don’t do that, it doesn’t matter if we hire Phil Jackson; it’s going to be the same thing.
“If we get a group of guys that is willing to win and sacrifice individual accolades for the team, I think we’ll be all right.”
Good advice coming from a guy who gives out pantomime high fives.

That’s funny. Sadly, watching Bogut play the last few games, he’s one of those guys. And he’s played terrible. He might have one good possession defensively, but then he’s turning it over on the other end. And then he yells at his teammates.

Bogut’s chemistry killing ‘bling’ rant might have had something to do with it. And the fact that no one on that team wants to play defense. It’s too bad because they do a good collection of talent…

Bogut isn’t the problem guys…Mo williams is. Your leader comes from your point guard, and MO is far from it. He plays no D and is a reflection of the defensive effort as a whole. Bogut is who you build around, along with Redd. AP is right, the Bucks could be good…and probably should be good. A solid coach will turn it around, along with a trade or two

yes, the bucks could be good like every clipper team for the last 7 or 8 years could be good
remember that they didn’t want to trade livingstone for AI cause he was the future?

hire ME as bulls coach and i would have a lot of fun too!

Nothing personal Shooter, but when I read “expansive” in place of “expensive” it made me feel like I should re-read your comment with some kind of accent in my mind. And I know your moniker say Brasil, but I’m thinking Eastern Europe.

being a former season ticket holder for the bucks i will attest to the bogus way that team plays together.. they have a shoot first pg, (could have cp3 or d will) m. redd who plays minimal d, and a front line that is underperforming and overpaid ( charlie v, c. bell, yi’s not good?, and bogut needs more production.. that said what the result for me was… the loss of a season ticket holder.. new coach is needed and joe hammond is proven, so i am optimistic.. but not ecstatic cause personell changes are needed as well
