Worthy of Your Attention
Following the Playoff race in the West is akin to being on one of those harrowing roller coaster rides at an amusement park. It’s a thrilling, often frightening experience.
Laker fans know all about the highs and lows. Over the last two weeks, we’ve had equal amounts of both - yes, getting positively owned by Memphis and Charlotte would qualify as a “crushing downer.”
Phoenix and Shaq seem to be rounding into shape; about as “in shape” as we can consider a 330 pound + man. So far, they seem to have figured out how to mesh their trademark running and gunning with some kind of low post presence, and they’re even sprinkling in some defense. It’s actually kind of scary to watch, but it remains to be seen if they can keep it up in the postseason.
Denver, meanwhile, makes absolutely no sense. Last week, they beat a team they had no business beating whatsoever - a motivated and clearly desperate Dallas Mavs squad that seemed to have them on the ropes in the first half. Of course, they’re just as likely to crap the bed against inferior competition. A more frustrating team does not exist.
Tonight in Phoenix, the Suns and Nuggets will play their respective roles in reshaping the hectic Playoff picture in the Western Conference. If I had any idea what to expect, I’d be out buying Powerball tickets by the truck load. As always, it should be interesting.

Phoenix vs. Golden State… the Suns are going to be the team to try and slow the game down. What is going on!

I really hope that Dallas gets eliminated from the playoff race.
It will mark the end of the Dirk Nowitzky and Avery Johnson era.

yo my two favorite teams are the Lakers by far then the warriors, why cant G-State just move to the east i mean really, New Orleans is in the best, i mean the WEST so it would be an awesome finals instead of a first round wher the 2 best teams play…yeah i know g-state record aint top two..i actually watch em play Kobe & Baron on the same court in a playoff series…..NBA where screwed up seedings happen

I am not a Nuggets fan, but I am a fan of Allen Iverson and I want the Nuggets to make it…because I think some people don’t want the Nuggets to make just so they can hate even more and throw it up in AI and Melos face..but the fact is that Nuggets team is still 16 or so games over .500, so people need to quit acting as if they are some garbage team. I want the Warriors to make it because I live in Northern Cali…and i’m a fan of Baron Davis. Dallas needs to sit at home. People are going to act like because Dirk was out is the reason they won’t make it, but the fact is they hadn’t beat a winning team since they traded for J-Kidd…so they were struggling before Dirk was injured. Either way, the Western race is going to go do to the very last day and EVERY team needs to continue winning their games, because no one is a lock this year in the West. And yes, Candice, I don’t think Jeremy understands what he’s talking about, lol, maybe if he would take time out to stop hating he would understand whats going on better.
