KG Gets Pierce MVP Campaign Going

“I got Paul for MVP this year,” said Garnett. Yeah, good luck with that one, Kevin.

This rivals “We got Zach Randolph, ya’ll” for most moronic statement of the year.

Man-love. Platitudinally and politically smart on K.G’s part. He’ll make a great senator some day.

All this Team-first stuff is getting boring and ridiculous.

For what its worth, Paul Pierce does lead the league in +/-

Russ Bengtson says:
+/- is the most misleading stat ever. Your +/- is generally gonna be pretty good when you’re an All-Star playing beside two other All-Stars.

Mar.13 at 1:09 pm

Michael says:
+/- is BS. I was going along with at first, but when Lebron scored 24 points in the 4th quarter and led the Cavs to a victory over Toronto by himself, and was a -3 I knew that system was BS.

Paul for MVP–Chris Paul, that is

Smush Parker for MVP. The Heat’s season went down the toilet when he was suspended for being too real with a parking lot valet.

Clearly, none of you have watched more than a handful of C’s games this year. It’s really not that ridiculous of a statement on KG’s part. PP has been phenomenal, carrying the team through injuries/struggles by KG and RA. If you had watched at least 10 games, you’d realize that your all talking out of your arses.

canadian says:
Kobe, Lebron or CP3.

Ah the +/- hatred, forgot where I was posting at. For what its worth, I did preface it with “for what its worth.”

underdog says:
If CP3 gets the MVP trophy in 2008, than Oden should be ROY…

Mar.13 at 6:12 pm

Russ Bengtson says:
It’s not hatred for +/- on my part, it’s just a healthy dose of skepticism. That’s one of those stats that is pretty much meaningless without more information. I mean, all FIVE C’s starters are in the top 11 when it comes to +/-. And Chris Paul is behind Rafer Alston.

Russ Bengtson says:
My favorite KG quote in that story is “There are only three people I like to watch on offense, and he’s one of them, man.” Wonder who the other two are?

TMAC IS MVP!

Russ- I think one of them is Tyronne Lue.
