Andre Miller and Rasheed Wallace Have Something in Common

by Marcel Mutoni

As long as someone is Cutting The Check, both guys are happy.

A few years ago, Rasheed endeared himself to the ticket-buying public by saying that at the end of the day, it’s all about CTC. Miller has now taken a similar route.

Miller, who’s name has been swirling in trade talks all season long, isn’t the worrying type. Mostly because he gets to cash a ginormous check every two weeks.

Radio Guy:Do you enjoy it here in Philly? Do you like it here in Philly? Do you wanna stay here in Philly?
Andre Miller: Well, you know I’m a west coast boy so.. ya know.. I mean, Philly’s alright, ya know, as long as I got a job, I’m happy.
RG: (laughing) As long as the check shows up on the 15th & 30th, right?
AM: Exactly.

Talk about a ringing endorsement for the Philly Sixers. Try not to sound too excited about playing for them, ‘Dre.

that is the right attitude to have. there is no loyalty in this business. he can get traded at any moment, unless he has a contract like Devean George.

Cut him some slack. It’s not like he’s not playing well.

i dont see anything wrong with that, they asked him if he’s happy where he is, basically he said he’d prefer to be on the west coast, but he isn’t going to bitch about it because he has a job that pays (well). Sounds better to me than those players who don’t think earning millions to play a game is enough, but also want freedom to relocate whenever they want.

That’s news now? These things need to undergo more scrutiny before being posted.
How about that Austrian skier who fractured his leg so severely it needed to be amputated?
I immediately thought of Jayson Williams. Hopefully Mark Cuban did not.

When you are raised in SoCal, spend major time in two sun-drenched mountain locales, a place like Philly can seem a bit dreary.
I wish he had somehow come back to Denver so they could get back to running alley-oops as their primary half-court set.

Dre's on point says:
Does anyone really like playing in Philly though? I’m not trying to be rude, but the fans and the media are tough and you have to be a real tough minded person to play there, I still don’t see how Iverson did it for 10 years. Dre came from Denver where there is limited media coverage, things a real calm there. But it must be nice being 5-10 games under .500 and still making the playoffs. Smh, good luck getting swept by the Celtics or Pistons in the first round though. He is going to leave Philly though, you can tell, that team is not going to go nowhere for a long time unfortounatly, they are going to be at a standstill for a while, sort of like the Hawks and Bobcats.

That’s because he kept laying the ball in instead of dunking. I’d boo him, too. If Richard Pryor would have played in the Rookie game in 2000, I bet HE would have dunked it.

Isn’t it ironic how the Sixers will make the playoffs and the Nuggets won’t? Stack that paper, Dre.
