Pietrus Really, Really, Really Wants a Trade
NBA players - pro athletes in general, really - usually give subtle hints about their unhappiness with their current situation: Guys will cite a lack of chemistry; complain about shots; and when all else fails, just have their agents quietly leak trade demands to the press. Not Mickael Pietrus, though.
The Warriors’ fifth year player is unabashedly out in the open with his wish to be traded.
“I want to be moved,” said Pietrus, who will be an unrestricted free agent at the end of this season and has no plans of returning to Oakland. “I want to be moved. I want to be moved. I want to be traded.”
Anybody else picturing Pietrus jumping up and down like a furious little kid when demanding to be moved?
Pietrus’s agent claims that the Warriors are being unreceptive to trade offers. Could it be instead that teams simply aren’t all that interested in your client, seeing as how he averages 5 points per game and all? Just a thought.

When your signature move is the “step back out of bounds before dribbling,” you’re lucky you’re in the L.

Pietrus really, really, REALLY needs to shut up. You’re unrestricted this summer, Mickeal. Way to hurt your own bargaining power. Hard to say you may want to go back to Golden State when you’re already cleaning out your locker.

The Spurs could really use a YOUNGER(!) swingman to bring some slashing and athleticism to the team. We know they love Euro’s too. I bet Nellie won’t pull the trigger b/c he knows Pietrus could make the Spurs better. F.uck.

I don’t blame himfor wanting to be moved. Don Nelson only ever plays 8 deep. When he does go deeper he often gets quality minutes from their young guys but apparently not enough to lengthen the rotation.

Agreed. Pietrus > Dixon. And he’d definitely be a younger version of Finley in SA. I doubt Nellie would get much in return though.
