Nuggets Looking to Become Considerably Gullier?

Denver, led by Allen Iverson and Carmelo Anthony, continues to lead the League in street cred (whatever that is). Word now is that their front office is interested in adding to the team’s bad boy image: The Kings and Nuggets are reportedly in talks for a possible Ron Artest trade.
Now, the Sacramento forward is again trade bait, and word is the Nuggets are interested.
But it’s possible a package of Eduardo Najera, who has an expiring $4.95 million contact, and hot prospect Linas Kleiza, who is making $1.01 million this season and $1.82 million next season, could entice the Kings.
Ron has clearly worn out his welcome in Sac-Town, and the Nuggets could certainly use his intensity on the defensive end.
Here’s the problem, though: One of Artest’s main complaints in Sacramento is a lack of touches. So, you’re bringing him in to play alongside Melo and AI?! Oh yeah, that would end well.

No, we are not buried under snow for most of the year.
TODAY is 50 and Sunny (feels more like 60) THAT is winter in Denver. Oh yeah, it might snow 3 feet this weekend.
Needless to say, I like Colorado. Last weekend, one of my brothers pulled the snowboard/golf tandem off in the same day.

Sorry for that rant, I am protective, but this rumor perplexes me on many levels. I can’t, for some reason, form an actual opinion. They need rebounding help, for sure. But giving up on Kleiza might be a bad idea. This kid is going to be a 18/9 guy the minute he stops being Carmelo Anthony’s back-up.

But seriously, as much of a tool Artest is, he can defend and who knows if you throw him in the mix you’d have Kenyon, Camby, AI, Melo, and Artest regardless of their position that’d be a hard team to defend.

OHH PLEASE LET THIS GO THROUGH. As a Nugget fan, well..more so an AI fan, they need Artest in the baddest way. That defense requires serious revamping, but good ol’ Ron Ron is an awesome start. About not getting enough touches, I’m sure he’ll be alright with it considering it’s AI and Melo… and not Kevin Martin and Brad Miller.

I used to play hockey at the Sun Ice Centre up there. I also play golf at the Omni on a regular basis.-I live up in Conifer, now. LAN-South Park is Colorado, actually the guys are from my hometown, which leads to many inside jokes even the most consistent viewer cannot understand. Trey graduated from HS with one of my older brothers, too.

Even though Artest is crazy and nobody can predict what he’ll do, I don’t see him having a problem with be the no. 3 scoring option in Denver. If the Nuggets can somehow pull of the trade without throwing in Nene of Kenyon Martin, they’d be a tough team for anyone to stop.

gdon, having Nene and Martin splitting minutes at power forward would be a good fit with AI, Carmelo, Artest and Camby. Nene is a solid post player and there aren’t very many players in the league that are as explosive as K Mart when he’s healthy.

Pooh, well put about Casa Bonita. The one restaurant you go out to eat BEFORE going there….. Although, i can mow about 5 baskets of those sopapillas.
I actually went there not too long ago with some friends and we had a blast. Random mid-day, midweek, totally empty, so we got that cabana table right by where the cliffjumpers stand. The recent Guitar Hero episode had some Jake Jabbs and Ron Zapollo jokes, as well.
The Nuggets should keep Nene and Kleiza around.

It will be nice, if the Nuggets get Ron. He could help on D. They need a lot of help on their D. Camby is doing a good job, but he can’t be the whole defence. Artest could score, so he could be a good offence of weapon, like AI and Melo.
