Keeping the Faith


Much like Tamir Goodman, the Orthodox Jewish basketball player who refused to play on Saturday, Herzl/Rocky Mountain Hebrew Academy’s boys team of Denver, Colorado high school may choose to loose a playoff game over breaking their faith.

This is no big deal. It just shows that different people have different priorities. I don’t think it should be celebrated OR mocked. It shouldn’t be controversial, is what I’m saying. Some prefer religion over basketball. Some prefer football over basketball.

Well maybe it should be celebrated a little bit, but not too much, because it’s good to have examples of people who know their own priorities and stick with them.
