Good Thing Bynum Got Injured

Otherwise the Lakers wouldn’t have gone after Pau Gasol.

and uh…. Huh. That’s really all I have to say about this topic. Man, that was as insightful as a White Hot Eboy comment.

That’s the best you could do, Ju. Terrible, as always.

I’ve heard that before and hope it’s false… because if we we weren’t going to trade Kwame for Pau Gasol, just for the sake of team chemistry, then Mitch deserves to have any praise being thrown his way snatched right back.
How is it possible to even consider not trading for Pau Gasol if it only costs you Kwame Brown….

We are talking about Mitch Cupcake.

Russ Bengtson says:
And then the Suns wouldn’t have traded for Shaq, and the Mavericks wouldn’t have tried to trade for Jason Kidd, and Gregg Popovich wouldn’t have tried to form a trade committee, and David Stern wouldn’t have formed a militia to fight off angry general managers, and there wouldn’t have been the bloody War of Secaucus, and the League wouldn’t have had to contract back to 12 teams, and the New York Knicks, due to attrition, wouldn’t have wound up winning the 2008 NBA title. Damn you, Andrew!

I love you too WHE.

Leave it to Russ to broaden the scope of Bynum’s injury into a strange and absurd realm. The knicks winning the ‘chip? That’s down right hyperbolic insanity.

Happy Valentines Day.

that extrapolation by Russ is entirely possible. War of Secaucus will go down in history as one of the most memorable battles in our life time, kinda like pearl harbor.

Is my name so long that it has to be shortened??

RV says:
I dont know if that’s entirely true, memphis would have probably still shopped him, and the Lakers would have probably window shopped and then gone for it when they found it how little they wanted in return..

Sesa says:
Lakers will probably have a better record than now while Gasol probably already in the East, maybe the Nets or the Hawks

Young Chris #3 says:
LOL, of course Memphis would still have traded him. Why do you think they sent Stro’ to the Nets? They were going to ship Pau to the Nets for Jason Collins originally, until they got a better (worse?) deal for Kwame.

Tariq says:
I’m pretty sure Memphis will prove to be the eventual winners in the Gasol trade when they ship Kwame to the Knicks for the Knicks City Kids.

Thomas says:
I disagree, if the oppurtunity would have presented itself then the Lakers still would have taken it and its only a matter of time before he comes back and we dominate the west.
