Dirk Is Enjoying the J-Kidd Experience

Zee big German is extatic to be running alongside Jason Kidd. Kidd, who has played well since his return to Texas, had the honor of being introduced last to the adoring home crowd last night. It was Nowitzki’s idea.

I bet sometimes, when he’s all alone, sitting in the dark, Dirk wishes he never won the MVP.

I’ll bet sometimes, when he’s in front of 20,000 people, playing on national television, Dirk wishes he never won the MVP.

Wiggers? Interesting word choice there. Anyway, why is it that Terry is the only player who gets out on the break for Kidd. I didn’t expect Dirk to be filling the lane, but I thought Howard would run. Can someone at Slam check on this?

Well according to ESPN’s stat boys only Terry and Howard are athletic enough to run with Kidd and everyone else is too slow. Maybe that’s the reason. I don’t know, I haven’t seen a Mavs game yet since the trade.

Russ Bengtson says:
Josh is just coming back from a bruised lower back–he’s probably quite 100 percent yet, and I’d assume an injury like that would affect his ability to run.

Allenp says:
Thanks for the info Russ. I thought he was loafing or sulking for some reason. Anyway, Kidd can still pass and once the Mavs get used to just getting open and finishing, they should be straight. I forgot how good Kidd looks with players who compete and when straight zone defenses are outlawed.

Hopefully Kidd’s performance will get Simmons to stop writing about the NBA. How can you slam the J Kidd trade because he wouldn’t fit in the Mavs system and praise the Shaq one at the same time?
