I´m really interested if the NBA will “look into the situation” if he resigns with the Spurs, with him hanging around there in SA and the Spurs not having cleaned out his locker.
Isn´t that the same as with Stackgate ?

H-wag - do you read dallas basketball.com ? are you a mike fisher, d-lord cronie ? Heck no it isn’t the same… Bones is not as dumb as stack to open his big mouth , if there were an agreement…. not saying there is ..I mean I wouldn’t be surprised to see him in PHX or even Boston to run some PG with Ray Allen again..they had a good run in Seattle….. but if he does go back to the champs (highly possible due to the strong Spurs-Sonic ties) then it will be nothing like Stackgate because Bones is not stupid enough to say he will take a “30-day ” rest.

Jukai says:
Well, besides keeping his mouth shut, you haven’t really explained the different Lane.

lane says:
That is the difference. Don’t open your mouth and open yourself up to investigation. The whole reason the “30-day” rule was applied was because teams would routinely include players in trades who were later waived and then re-signed.. it has happened in the past- it will happen again. Stack was dumb enough to tell the world that the agreement was already in place. That is what is against the rules. Agreements before hand. Bones keeps his mouth shut and there will be no evidence of an agreement. He will just end up back in San Antonio. He is already recovering from the strained calf so the rest will be legitimate and do him good.

I dunno Lane, seems pretty shasdy and hypocritical of Stern.

Young C says:
If he makes his decision today, obviously he cant be going back to San Antonio because he has to wait 30 days so lane and Jukai: you’re arguing for nothing.

For a moment I read “back to the river walk” as “bridge on the river kwai”. I thought it was a non-seqitor, and was pleased.

@ Young, Even though he’s making the decision today, it doesn’t mean he can’t decide to let his calf heal and sign with SA after the 30 term has expired. It only makes sense for him to go back to a system hes comfortable in. I’ll be very surprised if he leaves.
