Brown in Green
by Russ Bengtson
Chris Webber. Shaquille O’Neal. Ben Wallace. Kurt Thomas. The formula this year seems simple enough—if you’re a contender (or even a ‘contender’), you acquire an aging big man. The Boston Celtics, owners of the best record in the NBA, picked theirs up yesterday—38-year-old power forward P.J. Brown. If you can’t remember when he joined the League (it was a long time ago), you’ll need only look at his chest.
Brown, a three-time All-Defensive second-team selection, will wear No. 93, the year he was drafted into the NBA and was married to his wife, Dee.
All other playoff teams, consider yourselves warned: Don’t sign Charlie Ward.

Cassell was just bought out too. Him and Brown can hold AARP meetings in the lockerroom.

Ok it’s clear that Boston wants to mess up their roster for the upcoming 5 years. It’s now or never.

Karan; I’m probably one of the biggest Glove fans around, but Gary got his ring and his last season in Miami was agonizing to watch as a close follower of his carrer. Glove should just stay at his mansion, finishing his book about lock-down perimeter D and the art of thrash talking.
