Daniels Not a Suspect
Try as they might - and golly, we know they’ve tried - the Indiana Pacers just can’t avoid the negative headlines.
A woman is claiming that she was sexually assaulted at the home of Marquis Daniels, but the cops don’t consider the Pacer guard a suspect.
Daniels is not a suspect in the investigation, Sheriff Doug Carter said, and he is cooperating with investigators. The victim accused someone else at the house, the sheriff added.
“I don’t know what happened; I wasn’t involved,” Daniels said late Monday.
Yeesh. Talk about a dinner party gone horribly wrong.
Not to make light of a terrible situation, but imagine what must be going on in Larry Bird’s mind. Dude just can’t catch a break in the PR game.

Hearing Jim O’Brien tear into reporters asking relevant questions about this shows how sick and tired the Pacers organization is of having to deal with these issues. Even though MD was not involved, he’s got to take a look at the company he is keeping in his house. Horrible situation to be caught up in. Just bad news all around. And Mutoni, the fact that this team is associated with Larry Bird makes my head spin.

Why don’t the Pacers mgt. just hire surrogate parents for every one on the team. No one goes anywhere without their “parent” to chapperone. And the “parents” have to be vetted by the Supernanny.
