This is horrible. If J.J. Putz endorses the Sonics, so can the law.

Russ Bengtson says:
If they move, I seriously hope the franchise folds. Not because I dislike the Sonics, because I HATE what Clay Bennett and David Stern are doing to Seattle. Move the damn Hornets to OKC–because New Orleans absolutely cannot support an NBA team right now–and leave the Sonics where they belong. If this actually happens, Stern needs to go.

Co sign Russ.

Not so fast, Henry Abbott at ESPN True Hoop reads tea leafs and sees Sonics staying put at least for next season.

Considering team is terrible, ownership is horrendous, there’s no league support, and the future is bleak, wouldn’t you think the fan base would be absolutely apathetic towards anything with the team? Yet you go to the Key, the Arena is full of rabid, passionate fans. Watch last night’s game, and the fans stood for most the 4th quarter. It’s been like that most nights, even more so during the 14 game skid. Take the Sonics out of Seattle, and the NBA loses.

As for the relationship between Stern and Bennett, all you need to do is look at this pic: I think it explains a lot…

Come on slam do some politics and save the Sonics or at least try it .
This mag got some influence that shouldn’t make it that easy for Clay Bennett and Stern.
You could do a special issue about the Sonics their past and present accomplishments , their roots in this city , their fans and their biggest teams and players. And let the readers vote online for or against .
Hard work but if somebody can do that then you.
At least try it!

There’s only one way out of this situation: public funding, private ownership. This system will save all professional sports.

Make up your mind, man! OKC or KC?

Ryne Nelson says:
Either way, we’re talking about where the Supes are going, bro…Hornets just extended for two years. And I personally believe they’re going to be sticking in the bayou.

Holy Baller says:
Man I can’t believe it OKC supports the Hornets for two years and the year they leave is when they start playing like champions. And guess who is watching in New Orleans? About half the stadium capacity. If OKC gets screwed and the Sonics stay I think the Hornets should finish their contract with New Orleans and go back to OKC.

This doesn’t make one iota of sense.

Clayton I. Bennett is a tool.
Let the people keep their franchise so they have something to do when it’s always raining.
Word Russ: Let CP3 and co. move to OK City.

Clay Bennett and his moneybags handjob brigade are the worst kind of d***heads going. Stern is a fat chicken who’d rather see what happens than act. This is a disgrace. Reminds me sooo much of Irish politics (there’s never a reasonable outcome, and it’s always soo soooo messy).

At least you can go to Portland… us in British Columbia are starving for another NBA franchise… we get the Sonics you get the Blazers.
