Sophs should destroy the Rooks like they were the Clovefield monster.
Jan.30 at 4:26 pm
Rasheedionics says:
They need to do something to make this game a bit more competitive and interesting to watch… you can have only so much dunks and alley-oops in one game before it’s just boring to watch.
Jan.30 at 4:30 pm
Rasheedionics says:
Shelden who? Is it 18 min per game last year or 11 min per game this year that should qualify him for this game?
Jan.30 at 4:30 pm
Sam Rubenstein says:
interesting point Eboy, cause last year EVERYONE was saying how the rooks would destroy sophs when this came around… Oden + Durant + NOah, etc. against a team that lost by 200 points last year.
And now BRandon ROy, Rudy Gay, and Aldridge are probably the 3 best players in the game.
Jan.30 at 4:31 pm
daanswer says:
Im pissed…..they left off Glen “big Baby” Davis……
Jan.30 at 4:31 pm

Jeff Green gets no love playing in Durant’s shadow, but I really like how his game is coming along.
Jan.30 at 4:42 pm
Phil B says:
yeah sam, i remember everyone saying that before the season as well. but yes, the sophs should win by an easy margin. gay is gonna light them up. millsap is going to get every rebound. and lamarcus should have a pretty good game too. roy won’t care unless it’s a close game.
Jan.30 at 4:45 pm
TADOne says:
Should be a good game actually. I think the Rooks will put up a better fight against the Sophs than the East will against the West.
Jan.30 at 4:45 pm
jbn74sb says:
Fun. I think Farmar will surprise some people who have yet to see him play. Dude is pretty athletic.
Jan.30 at 4:47 pm
TADOne says:

Jan.30 at 5:15 pm
underdog says:
Honestly, I know it’s about experience, but still, I wouldn’t bet against the rookies this time. It could be interesting stuff.
Jan.30 at 5:16 pm

Where’s Greg Oden??
Jan.30 at 5:22 pm
D-Advocate says:
sophmores will probably win in a semi-close game no dominant big men on either team.
Jan.30 at 5:23 pm
Bryan says:
At least this year we aren’t falling into the trap of picking the rookies over the sophs experience matters.
Jan.30 at 5:26 pm
TADOne says:
Rooks have experience in Scola, Moon, and Yi, who is at least 25.
Jan.30 at 5:28 pm
Bryan says:
I bet Conley is gonna play his ass off though.
Jan.30 at 5:30 pm

Jan.30 at 5:44 pm
TADOne says:
Who’s gonna guard Durant? Ronnie Brewer or Rudy Gay? Durant is gonna beast.
Jan.30 at 5:46 pm
Lz - Cphfinest3 says:
Does this mean that Roy wont make the real All-star team?
What can Stern possible have against him, his a model citizen on the team formerly known as the Jail Blazers?

I really hope Conley will be able to play in this game.
Jan.30 at 6:18 pm
Jess says:
Players in the rook-soph game can still play in the all-star game..I agree that Roy is an all-star but there are so many guards in the West..its gonna be tough. In the East it should be Billups and Calderon backing up the starting guards, Kidd and Wade.

Andrea Bargniani for MVP…..NOT
Jan.30 at 7:19 pm
Dan says:
I’m pretty sure both rosters were overly predictable; more than years past, perhaps.
Jan.30 at 7:39 pm
Captain America says:
Let’s see…Seattle represented? (check)….Memphis represented? (check)….So, why not Chris ‘Rhino’ Smith who has better stats than Bargnani?
Jan.30 at 7:56 pm
Vortex Knight says:
I agree with daanswer that Big Baby oughta be in the game, but don’t know who I’d drop to get him in. Maybe Green.
Jan.30 at 8:03 pm
Ryne Nelson says:
Noah is by far the biggest snub in this game.
Jan.30 at 8:40 pm
Simmy Sosa says:
I guess this means Brandon Roy wasn’t chosen to be an all_star by the coaches. That’s to bad, he deserved it…
Jan.30 at 9:30 pm
J says:
“Jerry Reinsdorf should thumbtack that list to John Paxson’s forehead when he fires him.” Word. No way the rooks should win, but it’s an all-star game, so anything’s possible
Jan.30 at 9:59 pm
WhaHuh says:
True about the Noah snub, but the rest of the rookies are starters with big minutes.
Jan.30 at 10:13 pm

My piston rookies were snubbed!!!! We have 2, 1 (arron afflalo) should have made it. He manages to get minutes on a winning squad with all star guards.

Jan.31 at 3:32 am
Mike says:
What about Josh Boone for the Sophs???? Oh and Jamario Moon is gonna do something ridiculous in both the game and the Dunk contest. The guy is already 27 years old but he has the hops of a 20 year old….its not even fair.
Jan.31 at 4:54 am
Jimmy G says:
If Marc Iavaroni coaches the rookies I give them a shot. They have a squad that could get hot in a hurry.

maio says:
Navarro is winning that MVP.
Jan.31 at 8:56 am
Jared says:
Who’s Chris Smith?? Craig Smith?
Jan.31 at 3:50 pm
crazylee12 says:
Jamario is gonna school some dudes in this game. Is everyone forgetting that he played for the Globetrotters? Even on fundamental skills alone, the guy might drop 20,8, a few assists, 2 blocks, 1 steal, atleast 3 sick dunks, and a trey.
“Conley to Moon with the alley…and the oop! Onions, baby, onions!”
*I suggest that all those who are unfamiliar check out the commentary stylings of one Mr.Chuck Swirsky(I konw my Raptors fans are with me).

Where’s Craig Smith he’s averaging double figures and doing way better then Andrea
Feb.1 at 12:01 am
Zach F. says:
Surprised no al thornton from the Clips. They may not be doing so well but he is putting up some pretty descent numbers. Big Baby and Randy Foye both should have made it.
Lot of really talented rooks not getting playing time. Julian Wright(NO) Thad Young J. Crittentin(LAL) Brandan Wright(GSW) and C. Brewer(MIN) They all have some pretty tall ceilings that some people just aren’t seeing or maybe im just blind
