LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL!!!

they made T.O. cry. Mission accomplished!

By Sam Rubenstein
Hello everyone. The basketball stuff is coming. It seems like only yesterday people were taunting me because of the Mets collapse. Water under the bridge. GIANTS!!! I don’t have thoughts, I’m just emanating rays of happiness.

I was pacing around, I was having heart palpitations, my hands sweating… it was frightening.

Saturday I just so happened to watch the end of the “NFL’s Greatest Games” highlight show of the Packers-49ers game where T.O. caught the pass from Steve Young to beat the Packers. I was out of the country when that game was played, so I never saw it. Watched it for the first time.

Giants-Boys came down to same thing. The team that was behind driving, needing a TD to win, TERRELL OWENS on the field, quirky running QB goody two shoes ready to make the big play… he threw it over the middle… needless to say, my heart leapt out of my chest and was sitting there on the coffee table for a moment. But then… RW INTERCEPTS THE BALL!!!

Oh the happiness! I was dizzy. Just an incredible day. What a time to be alive!

I have no thoughts on the game other than it was a team win, Romo blew it and melted down, and it feels good to be moving on! The sweetest popcorn topping is T.O. tears. Honestly, I was so stressed out in the fourth quarter I can’t remember half of what happened. I walked like 8 miles pacing back and forth. EVERYTHING WAS WORTH IT!!!

I LOVE LIFE!!!!
Okay, again the basketball stuff is coming. They showed the highlight of the Giants winning at the Knicks game, and the crowd gave them a heroes standing O, and it inspired the Knicks to destroy the Pistons in a blowout. Poor Isiah, the one time he leads his team to a big win deserving of praise, it will be buried in a little blurb in the back of the paper. Cause it’s GIANTS day. BLUE MONDAY!!!

TADOne says:
That was actually a really good game. I kept expecting Eli to mess up at the end, but he came thru. I always love it when the Cowboys lose.

Somehow this will all be blamed on Jessica Simpson.

I am only happy because I know there will be at least one MISSISSIPPI quarterback in the Super Bowl.GO FARVE! play wit it.

Jan.14 at 9:43 am

white hot eboy says:
Sam, I TOLD YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Eli is no longer a joke, he’s a legit quaterback. If you would have told me he’d be in the playoffs longer than his brother at the beginning of the year, I’d have bet anything to the contrary. 9 STRAIGHT ROAD WINS!!!!! Damn, Giants, road warriors, for real. And TAD, you could probably take the day off, because to have your team get beat by 30 POINTS BY THE KNICKS, that warrants a pass.

Jan.14 at 9:46 am

white hot eboy says:
Oh, and TO, you fu*king showboating bit*h, choke on Romo’s co*k, you fuc*ing half a man. You should have showed Donavan half the “respect” you showed Homo yesterday. Karma’s a bit*h, pus*y.

Jan.14 at 9:48 am

Rasheedionics says:
Incredible win by Giants considering that Plaxico had only 1 reception for 5 yards… and Dallas had 103 more total yards than Giants. But Dallas offense was negated by 84 penalty yards. That’s a lot. Not to take anything away from the Giants, but Dallas really beat themselves in this one. Fundamentals like snapping the ball shouldn’t cause you to lose yards. That’s like forgetting how to inbound the ball in basketball…

Jan.14 at 9:53 am

Tarzan Cooper says:
so, uh, what happened to the pistons? they obviously took the night off.

Jan.14 at 9:54 am

white hot eboy says:
Agreed, Sheed, but Giants didn’t shoot themselves in the foot either and that’s just as big.

Jan.14 at 9:54 am

The Cool says:
Eboy, dont get on my boy TO like that. Don’t blame the loss on him because that is not fair! They lost as a team! ha ha yeah TO you are a realy pus*y and you need to get your mood swings in check. Instead of bringing my popcorn next time I’m goin bring the tampons for yo sorry ass. play wit it.

Jan.14 at 9:56 am

white hot eboy says:
Actually, I think it was more like Isiah making a call the night before to Joe D asking if “his boys can “take the night off”, for old times sake, I really need the win, REALLY NEED THE WIN, Joe”.

Jan.14 at 9:57 am

white hot eboy says:
“That’s my quarterback”. No TO, that’s your bitch.

white hot eboy says:
Fake Tarzan, I don’t know where you found love in those comments, but I’d imagine if I was a fan of his like you are, and my boy was spoken about like that, I’d be a little perturbed too.

Jan.14 at 10:07 am

TADOne says:
Eboy, that is probably what happened to. I’d have to check Joe d’s and Zeke’s phone records from Saturday night to Sunday morning. I’m sure Joe D has a large lump sum of cash that was deposited sometime this morning.

Jan.14 at 10:09 am

TADOne says:
But Eboy, just like you, I don’t live a die with my teams results, so no sweat of my back. But that was still a complete mail in game.

Jan.14 at 10:14 am

white hot eboy says:
TAD, I like that thought process. I’m passionate but not psychotic. That went away once Mike left although I went pretty wild yesterday when the Giants won. I screamed “YEAH MOTHERFU*KER” when the last interception happened, and from the other room I heard my son yell “Yeah Momofoko”. That was the highlight of my weekend until my wife gave me the evil eye.

Jan.14 at 10:15 am

Tarzan Cooper says:
im not a fan of to. but i dont hate him. i dont care about him one way or the other.

Jan.14 at 10:20 am

Sam Rubenstein says:
Eli’s growth has been amazing, and I mean over the past month. He’s become exactly what they need, a guy who doesn’t make reckless mistakes, doesn’t have to throw 40 times. But after that 2 hour drive before halftime, Eli stepped up and got a TD in like 50 seconds, which was HUGE. Even when they went 3 and out twice in a row and gave Romo chances to win it, Eli took the sack and didn’t fumble, so the clock kept going. But the Giants won as a team. They had one pro bowler by the way, Osi. The Boys had like 10.

Jan.14 at 10:21 am

jay says:
that was a good win for giants, gotta admit. my boyfriend went crazy, took him a while to settle down. T.O shedding tears though gotta be the highlight for me as an Eagles fan, and ofcourse dallas losing.

Jan.14 at 10:39 am

Cheryl says:
I’m really happy the Giants won, cuz I too have Cowboys hate. But don’t forget about the Chargers/Colts game. That one was a really good game, too. I was a couch potato the whole dam weekend. :-)

lmao at Eboy’s outburt about a dozen posts up.. the moment with your kid repeating what you shouted is gold too.

Jan.14 at 10:42 am

The Colts were WAY overconfident and looking a week ahead too early. Eli > Payton.

Jan.14 at 11:12 am

Sam Rubenstein says:
one thing about T.O. I saw, his team has lost 6 of its last 7 playoff games that he played in, the one win was the Giants collapse in 2002, which had its demons excorsied forever yesterday. Obviously the Eagles were 2-0 without him and 0-1 with him when they went to Superbowl, and they even won a playoff game last year with him leaving the team.
He should be crying that he didn’t catch a pass the whole second half.

Jan.14 at 11:14 am

white hot eboy says:
Ha Ha, TO. Sam just murdered you in a kind way.

white hot eboy says:
Jared, you big cowpoke, you.

Jan.14 at 11:30 am

Rasheedionics says:
I’m a Giants fan but to objective here, TO was clearly less than 100%… He was used mostly as the decoy and only on jump ball passes. He just couldn’t run like he normally does when he’s healthy… And there’s a case to be made that having a bye makes a bit rusty while Giants keep riding their incredible momentum.

Jan.14 at 11:37 am

Tariq says:
OK, let me just say that, like anyone on planet Earth, I’ve been annoyed by T.O. in the past; most recently when he dissed Keyshawn for no good reason. I also did not particularly enjoy his antics in Philly with Drew “Anti-Christ” Rosenhaus. The list goes on and on.. (Of course I also always enjoyed watching him play over the years. The guy’s going to Canton– but I digress..) Anyway, my point (and I do have one) is that I actually empathized with T.O. last night. I am not a Boys or Giants fan. In fact I’m not a fan of any particular team. But it was nice to see T.O. acting in a sincere way for a change, even if it did have bitchy overtones. And at least you get the impression that the guy cares about winning, not like that fat punk b^tch Ronaldinho.

MAYBE I’LL SPARE THE REST OF THE WORLD MY BULLSH*T AND ACTUALLY OVERDOSE THIS OFFSEASON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jan.14 at 11:40 am

Tariq says:
Speaking of Rosenhaus: not to be crass or anything, but did anyone else feel like he was fake-crying at Sean Taylor’s funeral?

Jan.14 at 11:41 am

Tariq says:
Methinks Eboy needs some valium. Oh, and congrats Sam and all G-Men fans.

Jan.14 at 11:42 am

white hot eboy says:
Can you tell that I truly hate this motherfu*er. And Tariq, don’t be naive, T.O. cried for HIS benefit, no one elses. He’s trying to parlay that “nice guy” act for the next sucker GM and coach that needs a world-class assho*e receiver.

Jan.14 at 11:44 am

white hot eboy says:
And I don’t really want the dude to overdose, jut fitted in with my rant.

Jan.14 at 11:44 am

Tariq says:
Eboy: Are you saying that he wasn’t really crying? If that was an act, my boy, then T.O. should be in The Dark Knight instead of Heath Ledger.

Jan.14 at 11:46 am

TADOne says:
TO’s tears were certainly real, not fake. See, when your bi polar, you actually believe your own bullsh*t.

Jan.14 at 11:48 am

white hot eboy says:
Did you see tears, Tariq? I saw a pair of ugly-ass bug glasses and some fake sniffling. I’m also jaded, too, so there’s that.

Jan.14 at 11:48 am

Tariq says:
By the way, is anyone else looking forward to next week’s matchup between Randy Moss and his alter ego Antonio “Counting” Cromartie. No player reminds me more of Moss than this guy.

Jan.14 at 11:50 am

BETCATS says:
hater are hater and i am a TO fan. What is wrong with him. So what he is arrogant, if you were that talented you would be too. Who cares he chokes in this game, he played the super bowl with a near broken foot. Why question what he says, he isnt playing in the national spelling bee, he is in the NFL words are words touchdowns are TerrelOwensdowns. Hands down TO is the best and stop the hate. Sam hates him for a great catch, you all hate him because of who he is. Well in my opionon TO is the greatest Wide Reciver who is not named Jerry.

Jan.14 at 11:51 am

Tariq says:
Eboy… come on, man. I would have had no problem believing that T.O. was faking it if I had heard about it. But that lip quiver was definitely real. And the fading voice. Like I said, if that was a performance, then his future after retirement lies in Tarantino-land.

Jan.14 at 11:53 am

Tariq says:
In any case, f*ck him and his Cowboys. I could care less. I just feel sorry for Jacksonville, who would have won the NFC if they were in the right division.

Jan.14 at 11:55 am

white hot eboy says:
Tariq, that bit*h get’s paid to act. Remember his press conference after his “overdose”? Dude is the king of the con.

Jan.14 at 11:58 am

Tariq says:
Eboy…are you a Dolphins fan?

Jan.14 at 12:02 pm

Jared says:
I don’t know that the Jags could beat the Packers. I don’t care how good of a year he had David Garrard still isn’t proven. And Cromartie doesn’t have d!ck on Randy Moss. Let’s be real, if Moss had Jerry Rice’s mind and ethics he would be the best receiver (and possibly football player) of all time. Cromartie’s nice, but dude’s young and has never shut down a big receiver.

Jan.14 at 12:02 pm

white hot eboy says:
While I have been a Dolphins fan since I was about 5 (damn, that’a long time), my dad lived and breathed Giants Blue while he alive and I have equal love for both because of his compassion and the fact that while I lived in NJ, all I saw was Giants games and the occassional Dolphin/Jets matchup. Dolphins are 1a and Giants are 1b in my book.

Jan.14 at 12:10 pm

Tariq says:
Jared: I agree with everything you said (apart from your Garrard diss). However, I’m looking forward to the matchup because Cromartie’s body type, style and athleticism remind me of a DB version of Moss. %98.4 of his league-leading 11 (!) picks have been acrobatic, one-handed catches. So I want to see two elastic freaks go head to head. Eboy: Regarding your ‘Fins: Ha Ha! And Eboy, I hate to go off topic, but I remember you being a fan of old-school hip hop, and I recently realized that I’ve slept on Redman for far too long. I only had Blackout!, his Meth collabo, on heavy rotation. So which album should I buy?

Jan.14 at 12:12 pm

white hot eboy says:
What’s the choices, Tariq?

Jan.14 at 12:24 pm

TADOne says:
Redman’s Whut? The Album is probably his best work.

Jan.14 at 12:24 pm

Jared says:
I thought both Whut? And Dare Iz a darkside were classics, and docs da name was alright, sick beats but not really quality lyrics. Garrard just hasn’t done enough yet. Every time he came in for Leftwich he looked good but not good enough to actually take them anywhere. Granted the AFC was stacked this year, and they played great all season and he played well all year also, but this Jags team isn’t better than any of the AFC championship teams over the years. And Cromartie is a beast, and I think it would be fun to watch him try to cover Randy, he absolutely has the build and athleticism but Moss had the best season of his career no doubt, with limited participation in training camp and pretty much going at 30% the past 3 seasons. I want to see more out of Cromartie and actually see him cover the primary receivers. He did lead the L in picks, but all of them came against teams with either awful or mistake prone QB’s minus his 3 against Peyton.

Sam– While the Pats are getting love out here I am holding it down for the Giants too!

i can’t even think about Green Bay or next week yet. Today is a celebration! And the game is at 6:30 on Sunday night and MLK’s birthday is the next day. It’s begging people to overdo it that night. We will.

d.Y. says:
For Red albums, whut, dare, and muddy waters are all dope. He does his thing on the Def Squad album el niƱo, and the illest verse is on Busta Rhymes first (and only) album, the coming. Ive heard good tings about the new record too. TO tears makes for a beautiful Monday. I missed most of yesterday due to theraflu coma, so ima hafta check the hilights.

Jan.14 at 1:26 pm

TADOne says:
Sam, Greenbay is going to be tough, especially playing at Lambeau. But, for whatever reason, Eli seems to LOVE playing on the road. I think that was the Giants 9th straight raod win. Go figure.

Jan.14 at 1:32 pm

Boing Dynasty says:
The best part of this game was Brandon Jacobs trying to explode the play clock with the football after his TD.

i’ve been waiting for this post all weekend.

Jan.14 at 3:48 pm

Tom says:
Even though I had nothing on the line in this game, glad to see Sam actually happy in one of these posts, as for the definitive Redman album its got to be Muddy Waters, all his albums are tight but Muddy Waters is damn near perfect
