Kirk Hinrich Still Can’t Find Jamal Crawford

This is from last night’s Knicks/Bulls game, and it is what we call abuse. Don’t be so mean, Jamal.

Was the really so mesmerizing? It probably helps that it’s on the midget Hinrich.

It helps that Jamal took 9 steps on that move, but nice nonetheless.

Allenp says:
He did a similar move earlier this seasons except he wrapped it and then went around his back. I forget what team that was against.

Tom says:
don’t hate eboy, it wasn’t so much the move as much as how he froze Hinrich.

Skip would be proud!

white hot eboy says:
Hinrich’s garbage, Tom. It’s not hate, it’s pity for the slow footed white midget.

Bulls could use a scoring center like Eddie “More” Curry, and a bigger off guard like Crawford…

phunkykarma says:
There is a travelling violation. Dribbling isn’t mayonnaise making.

Stop Hating it was a good damn move.

jbn74sb says:
Hinrich would immediately be the Heat’s second best player. But I guess that doesn’t add much clarification to whether or not he is indeed garbage.

highlights of the rockets from the rockets-knicks games earlier this week, crawford plays bigger than curry and randolph both did in this game

And it was a sick little move, if a little playground.

Jan.9 at 2:01 pm

Dutch Rich says:
Agreed I think he’s got the patent on that move, kind of like the way D-Wade’s got the patent on carrying the rock.
The latter is working on a new move where he’ll make the ball disappear in his cheeks while driving to the rack so to speak. He should have it perfected just in time for next year.

SO, it’s come to this now, huh? We OOhhh and AAhhh when JCreezy travels on a drive to the bucket? (I’m secretly hoping JCreezy somehow makes the East All Star squad)

Kadavour says:
that move was legit, and i’m pretty sure that it would have frozen ANYONE trying to d up while back-peddling like Heinrich was. those who can’t do hate. give the man props.

Jan.9 at 3:24 pm

RV says:
that move would have been legit if he stepped over on one leg not two, but that never gets called in the league

His shake and Bake was better! I hope Deng recovers quick! The Bulls need him and they need to give him more shots/possession.

Krayzie Bone says:
I’m going to hate. That was textbook traveling. No jumpstop baloney, he picked up the dribble, left both his feet, landed and jumped again. When I did that in grade school they would say up and down, which is exactly what it is. Its also ridiculously common in the NBA, thanks to years of top notch officiating, so its not like everyone doesn’t do it. Steve nash carries the ball for almost a full second before making a move against someone; shaq used to pick up the ball, elbow Sabonis or Mutombo or whoever else in the face, and then dunk it on them, and people would celebrate the play instead of pointing out the non call on the travel and offensive foul. Anyway, back to Crawford: Its easy to make someone look like a fool when the moves defensive player can only touch the ball, but the offensive player can run around with it. If Hinrich could tackle him, then it would be fairer.

white hot eboy says:
Krayzie Bone makes the SLAM commentors intelligence quotent rise 1000 pts with each post. Led by BoyMoron Bodie, the rest of you non-playing buffons should sit in front of the AND1 marathon ESPN2 seems to play every other day and dream of your next failed attempt at being a ball player by watching the modern day Globetrotters do their thing or other things none of you could ever do.

Cub Buenning says:
Agreed on the traveling calls, all y’all. The only place on the basketball planet where the officials will let that slide. Krayzie, no doubt on the grade school analogy. This “problem” is one of my only beefs with the pro game. Could you imagine if they just let baserunners miss bags every now and again? If hand passes or kicked goals were allowed in hockey?
One of its only contemporaries is that “you could call holding on every play in the NFL” argument. Many of the heads at the D-League pre-draft camp were dudes that employed the “up and down” move on a regular basis. Everytime, I couldn’t help but mutter “traveling” under my breath. As my Irish soccer boys would say on an obvious illegal tackle, “you can’t do that….”

Jan.9 at 6:51 pm

hursty says:
maybe it was a travel but dude still landed on both feet, sick move though… Hinrich got froze, was it an and one? the centre seemed to bang crawford on the way down?

Jan.9 at 6:57 pm

jesse bastien says:
travel!

Jan.9 at 7:05 pm

Cub Buenning says:
You can’t make arguments about how great a move was if it wasn’t legal within the framework of the basic tenants of HOW TO PLAY BASKETBALL. Naismith rollin’ in his grave. Soccer players can’t pick up the ball, run past a defender, then put it down and slot one past the keeper, right?

Jan.9 at 7:26 pm

white hot eboy says:
Thank you, Cub.

Jan.9 at 8:05 pm

matt says:
travel.

Jan.9 at 8:20 pm

deestarbuckz says:
Depending on the spread… Donaghy would’ve called traveling.

Jan.10 at 1:59 am

jimbo says:
umm…so you cant take one step before you jumpstop? Dosent a jumpstop technically count as one step, making Crawford’s move legal? Crawford only moved one foot before he made the jumpstop, and it wasnt his pivot foot. And it’s not like Crawford stepped again after he jump stopped. I dont get why it’s traveling.

Jan.10 at 2:01 am

jimbo says:
Besides, the play probably happened so fast that the ref couldnt tell whether Crawford traveled, even if he did. And Hinrich was probably so stunned that he didnt complain when the ref didnt call travelling

Jan.10 at 12:43 pm

Yoeri says:
it was just a great move

Jan.10 at 12:43 pm

Yoeri says:
the 1 versus Deron Williams was better though

Jan.10 at 3:56 pm

Cub Buenning says:
I know i shouldn’t, but…..
c’mon, really? You’re on a hoops diehard site and you actually feel that it was a great move?

OK the one move Jamal did was nice, but i recall in that same exact game where Hinrich mad him FALL and BROKE HIS ANKLES NASTY!
