Sizzle says:
the wolves should really trade green, when used he plays good, but he just doesn´t get the playingtime

Russ Bengtson says:
I can’t get behind seldom-used guys on terrible teams who complain about playing time. Call me crazy, but if you had anything worthwhile to offer, don’t you think you’d be playing? Or is it some personal vendetta combined with Randy Wittman’s love of losing?

Jukai says:
The problem is, there are no tables on the court that Green can jump over to make fantastical plays.

Wouldn’t blame him

Jared says:
They’re kinda crowded at his position with Corey and McCants. But you’re right Russ.

Rasheedionics says:
They have too many guys like him already and with Randy Foye back any day now, it’ll be even less playing time for him. Unless he’s in the contract year, he should just continue working on his game.

Myles Brown says:
I saw Gerald at Macys this weekend looking at socks. I asked him to buy me something, but he thought he deserved the present since it was his birthday. Maybe McHale will get him something.

Ryne Nelson says:
Gerald Green isn’t good. I don’t like to straight up hate on players (well, actually I do), but I’m going to now. Since Green is no good, I can definitely assure you he’s going to be a mainstay in the Minnesota roster for years to come. They need to maintain their streak of the missing the playoffs. The day Green leaves Minny is the day McHale gets the can.

Trade demands are truly ridiculous if you are not a superstar. That’s like someone saying they don’t like their sh*tty job, I’d like to be traded to different company where I’m CEO.

Ryne Nelson says:
@Alex
I think trade demands are truly ridiculous, period.

Too bad for him GMs look for talented players, not talented dunkers.

Minnesota could always drop him and add James White…

He should shut up, and show some improvement.

Trade him to San Antonio and make him learn how to play ball the right way

Captain America says:
Russ, you mean that terrible team that lost by 1 point to the mighty Celtics at their crib? Hell, even Gerald did better than Ray.
Jan.28 at 4:40 pm
Captain America says:
I don’t know the history on GC with the Celtics and all, but the kid is a puzzle. He is talented but his problem is between his ears. Some D-League seasoning could help.
Jan.28 at 4:47 pm
vmcb says:
back to the D-League Gerald!
Jan.28 at 4:51 pm
Ryne Nelson says:
@Cap - Wow. That’s harsh. If the problem is his head, then what’s the D going to do for him. He’d be a lost cause (which I’m not disagreeing with, by the way).
Jan.28 at 4:58 pm
Captain America says:
Ryne, I’m not a shrink, but I play one on Slamonline.com. He’s not trade-able IMHO but he does have major b-ball talents in spurts. As I suspect Celtic fans realize, Gerald problem is his decision-making on both ends of the court. He gets depressed when things are not going right for him and we all know how important confidence is on the court. The kid deserves major burn (and Doc gave him ticks last year) but it won’t happen right now at the League level.

Captain America says:
As for Wittman, give him a break. The guy came into the season with a team that never played together. How many coaches would really want such a job?
Jan.28 at 5:05 pm
riggs says:
hey cap, do you think he would change if he were playing alongside keving garnett?
Jan.28 at 5:05 pm
riggs says:
and follow up question, arent you supposed to be dead?
Jan.28 at 5:13 pm
Ryne Nelson says:
@Riggs - Haha! Didn’t you hear he’s back? Something like issue 26…
Jan.28 at 5:15 pm
arthur says:
Cap, the team played together - just in Boston

To bad he had to leave WHERE HE WAS.

green should go to orlando to fill the void left by ariza…imagine the highlights!!!!
Jan.28 at 8:41 pm
Captain America says:
Riggs, I was resurrected to speak truth to such idiots/u. As I’ve said, Gerald’s problem is between his ears, his self image, and his on-court decision making. You can read, right?

Dacre says:
If its all about court time send him to the Developmental league….THEN we’ll see some maturity…or more sulking.

Young Bo says:
Green has talent, he just needs a team that believes enough in that talent to give him 25 minutes a night to grow, kinda like the hawks do with childress and smtih and williams, and its startin to payoff for them, but what team if not the Wolves? i mean not even corey brewer is doin anything, mccants shows a big game like once every two weeks. But after that slip in the draft for green you wonder if there is something else were not seeing, so i wouldnt disagree with with what captain america is saying, but even tmac was a shy kid in toronto before butch carter believed.

An ego gets you ONTO an NBA roster…but its skills (whether natural or getting into it in the gym) that gets you on the floor. Just ask:
Harold Miner
Ronald Flip Murray
Darko
Kobe
Yinka Dare
Bill Murray (Space Jam?).
