C-Webb Is Returning to the Bay Area
One of the least expected reunions in League history has pretty much become official: Chris Webber is a Golden State Warrior again. The team that drafted him first in the ‘93 draft will announce that he has signed for the veteran’s minimum of $1.2 Million today, and is set to rejoin his former nemesis, coach Don Nelson.
With Golden State not scheduled to practice again before Friday’s home game against the Bobcats and ex-Warriors guard Jason Richardson - and a five-day break immediately following - Webber’s debut is likely to come during a nationally televised game against Chicago on Feb. 7.
Of course, this will be nothing like C-Webb’s first stint in a Warriors uniform. For instance, Nike will not be making commercials about him going behind the back before cramming on iconic power forwards’ heads.
If the soon-to-be 35 year old can keep his creaky joints from exploding, grab a few boards, find cutters with his celebrated passing ability, and hit a shot or two come Playoff time, it’ll be considered a rousing success.

I’m a little uneasy about this one, but I suppose it could be worse. Yes, having another big is nice, but is C-Webb going to take minutes from Biedrins? I hope not. It would be nice to have the two of them start in the frontcourt, but if that’s not the case then I will be rather disappointed.

I read another article that suggested that he could start and/or share/take Harrington’s mins. I like C-Webb (and watched him close as a Kings fan). He could slow this team down. But, he could also help with the half-court offense. I am not sure if his ego will let him NOT BE ONE OF TEAM FOCAL POINTS which could cause an issue. We’ll see how everybody feels after (or if) he consistently shoots 5 of 16 (like we have seen before), demands max playing time, and takes a more efficient players mins. All that being said, It would be cool to see him succeed and finish up perhaps with the team he started with.

Ginger Ale is great. I like Schweppes more than Canada Dry though. I got the 7up when I was sick last week and I know its not flat, but it still tastes like it. And thats the thing, Pepsi and Coke dont taste as different, whats the deal with 7up? Im never buying this sh*t again.

Pepsi’s a lot sweeter than Coke. More chemical tasting as well. I REALLY need to cut down my soda consumption. Of course I’ve been saying that for years. Every once in a while I even do it, but it never lasts.

Yeah peach is a rarity. Orange is ok in moderation , it can be a little strong, I tend to drink it in a cup full of ice to water it down so it’s not as potent. I do that with all flavors.

If one were to list the teams that a 35 year old Webber would not be a good fit on, strictly in terms of skills, Golden State would be at or near the top of the list. Despite his limitations, he is capable of helping the right team for about 20 minutes a night. GS just isn’t that team.

I met Chris Webber a long time ago after a Wiz game and he was one of the coolest, nicest guys, so I always hope that he does well. his career has kind of been a bust compared to his talent level, and he might be too slow to play on the Warriors, but i’ll always root for him

There’s no way that CWeb will be starting because he can’t run with the first team. When Davis is not on the floor ball movement stagnates to some extent and this is why Webber will help GSW. His passing ability will help create good looks for the second unit meaning that Baron won’t have to play 40+ minutes every night like he has been lately.
