Games played Friday Night: Chris Paul had that huge 43 and 9 game in a win over Memphis, Kevin Durant had 35 and 8 in a win over Milwaukee. Jamaal Tinsley led Indy to an upset in Orlando with 20-10-7, days before he was busy doing… other stuff. But the winner for the second time in three D.A.Y.s is Manu Ginobili, who lead the Duncan-less Spurs over Utah with 37 points off the bench, not to mention 8 boards, 6 assists, and 3 steals. He took 21 shots and had 19 more free throws. Flopper.
Games played Saturday Night: Josh Howard 47 and 10. Al Jefferson 32 and 20. Josh faced travel weary Utah, who was coming off their loss in San Antonio the night before. Al faced Phoenix, coming off a win over Washington the night before. The good thing about making up my own rules is that I make up my own rules. Split the trophy! Al Jefferson and Josh Howard both get Player of the D.A.Y.s, each counts as a full one.
Games played last night: Dwyane Wade had 35, 10, and 5 at the Clippers, but it’s Brandon Roy who beat the Bucks in OT and nearly had a triple double with 26-9-8.
