Sure, let’s give him a $70 million extension then.

Come on Russ, cheer up. It’s almost Christmas. Who cares that the object of Bulls management’s desire is gonna hit you for 42 in a Lakers win tonight, it’s nearly Christmas!

Deng is worth more (slightly) than the $50M they offered him. Nobody is saying he is better than kobe, that was never the issue. It was about holding on to something of substance to play WITH kobe to give the Bulls a shot at winning. Nothing else on the Bulls roster can be built upon. Plus, Dengs numbers would be better if Skiles actually ran plays for him rather than him having to get his off of scraps and broken plays.

Jukai, the way in which you support your statements is most impressive. *sigh*

Skiles needs to go.

Changing coach won’t fix their play. A team of role players who rely on jumpers is only going to go so far. Time for a complete overhaul before the players value drops too low.

Deng sounds like a young Tracy.

Imagine Nellie coaching the Bulls. Letting BG, Kirk and Deng go wild and not needing/expecting much production from Wallace outside of rebounding the ball and setting picks and playing defense (which is ALL he should EVER be thinking about anyway). The way the team is currently constructed, they are never going to win big with Skiles as the coach. He can get them to the playoffs, and maybe the second round if they execute perfectly - but that’s it. On their best day, under Skiles, they are a competitive team in the L. On their average day, they are not very good. On a bad day they are terrible. Ben Wallace isn’t going anywhere soon, so the only major piece to change right now is the coach. Bring in a Nellie style offense which will drive BG, Kirk and Dengs value up further, be exciting to watch, give the team a more successful identity and then allow Pax to trade pieces to build the team for proper contention.
