Another day, another D-League record

Who holds the NBA record for most assists in a game? Who cares, he got fired. The new D-League record holder is Randy Livingston with 22.

Bryan says:
Randy Livingston in the developmental league just doesn’t seem to make much sense.

What could be more exciting than Stampede v. Jam? Can we put a moratorium on team names that don’t end in “s” please?

Russ Bengtson says:
Randy Livingston is still playing…in the D LEAGUE?

Dec.27 at 5:00 pm

Russ Bengtson says:
He played in the same McDonald’s All-America game as Jerry Stackhouse and Rasheed Wallace. Also, he has the knees of a 65-year-old woman. Perhaps literally.

Holly crap! How old is Livingston again?

Dec.27 at 5:05 pm

Russ Bengtson says:
Well, he played in the 1993 Mickey D’s game. Which means he’s somewhere around 32, I think.

TADOne says:
This just takes the whole development part out of the developmental league, doesn’t it?

Dec.27 at 5:13 pm

TADOne says:
Then again, maybe the Bulls could use him Russ. Wasn’t that the last team he played for?

Russ Bengtson says:
I don’t remember where Randy Livingston was last, but he’s absolutely NOT what the Bulls need. They need a big man with a low-post game and a big, athletic guard. Oh yeah, and a coach. Can Randy coach?

Dec.27 at 5:35 pm

Bryan says:
He’s old enough.

Dec.27 at 5:41 pm

TADOne says:
He can’t be any worse than Pete Myers, can he??

underdog says:
Well, Scott Skiles holds an assist record too, so I think it’s better not to let another assist record holder coach the Bulls. You know the assist jinx…

I’m surprised this post isn’t about Rod Benson.

Randy Livingston is up there with Shea Cotton and Ronald Curry as 8th grade legends.

tack minor says:
Man there is a nice video of Schea Cotton and Baron Davis back in high school on the same team, balling like hell. Derrick Caracter was an 8th grade legend as well as was Michael Beasley (although he was in the 8th grade for a few years so that might not count)
