WALK THE VOTE 2008
Antoine Walker needs your vote. OK, well, not needs as much, but…just click it already.
Over the years I have often complained (to no one in particular, and to no avail) about how ridiculously early the NBA releases their All-Star ballots. If anything, they seem to be released earlier every year. And, without fail, every year someone who starts out hot is left off the ballot entirely, someone who’s injured is put on (and, in some cases—cough, Grant Hill—doesn’t play a single game before balloting ends), or someone gets traded to the other conference in the middle of the balloting. And then there’s always the inexplicable entry, a guy who seems to be on the ballot for no real reason at all.
Hello, Antoine Walker.
Well, there’s only one way to deal with this, best I can tell, and that’s to vote Antoine Walker an All-Star starter in 2008. I’m sure he already has other plans for that weekend, but that’s just too bad. We, the SLAM family, owe it to ourselves (and to Antoine) to send him to New Orleans. RealGM already suggested a way to do it, but the mechanics aren’t as important as the result.

This is something that I just can’t get behind. Like the NBA would ever allow that. They’d probably eliminate all the votes from certain ip addresses if they found multiple votes per day. Why not try to vote Tim Duncan as the starting West center instead of Yao? Going up against a nation of a billion…Why not?

eboy: He needs to START. We need to get China in on this. And thomas, I don’t condone the cheating part, I just want everyone who looks at this site to vote for Antoine Walker. Because a vote for Antoine is a vote for freedom, and if you don’t vote for him you’re letting the terrorists win.

Antoine was added last minute… if you notice, he’s listed as a guard… that’s because that’s where Ricky Davis was listed before that trade went down… so they wanted another Timberwolf to take Tricky’s spot… better choice would have been McCants cause he’s scoring some points this season… he’s not All-Star material either but he’s a better option than Toine… NBA likes to have a certain # of players from each team represented.

Walker has been getting better by the game so he was the right name.
Mcants has been horrible for weeks. Walker is pretty much a scape goat for fat white men that can’t play basketball that are jealous this black kid makes more money then them.
