Holly made the comment that was floating around in the back of my mind in her recap but she didn’t want to address it.. so, i’ll bring it up: who thinks that Isiah told Marbury to get lost for a day and agreed to pay the $195,000 fine himself? i could definitely see him doing that.. what are your thoughts? i just agree (with Holly) that something doesn’t seem right about all this..

well.. i guess it is the NY Knicks we’re dealing with. and people thought Portland was the trouble franchise a couple years ago..

Go AWOL one day, play 35 minutes (while missing 3/4 of your attempts from the field) the next. Go New York, go New York, go.

Holly MacKenzie says:
thanks, Kevin. Either something along those lines happened, or Isiah responded to Marbury’s threats to dish the dirt by reminding Steph that he has dirt on his as well. What a messed up situation. No way Steph just comes back and is that happy.

Hey, remember when everyone was excited cause Larry Brown was suppose to turn the Knicks franchise around with his amazing coaching skills?

The Zeke/Steph handshake on the bench was one of the best things I’ve ever seen in my NBA life.

I wish this would just go away.

At least the Knicks aren’t losing like the Bulls & Heat this year.

But the Heat did beat the Knicks.

Myles Brown says:
Russ, did you read that NY Times article on “Mr. Lou” dying and Marbury spending all of his ‘vacation’ on Coney Island? I still wouldn’t call it a legitimate excuse, but it does add another layer to this story, no?

Trade for Andre Miller. Let Steph play the 2. Ride out these deals and start over.

But the heat just gave the sonics there first win..were they just being nice or do they just suck?

The problem with the Knicks is Dolan the moron. I gave up season tickets in great seats because that SOB in connection with Thomas and Thomas’s predecessor have set the knicks to ruin for the next 10 years. One stupid acquisition after another. They are doomed

their* luckily no one is acknowledging me today or someone would have caught that.

Louis Bullock 11 says:
The real problem isn’t just steph, how can a team go 10+ minutes without making a shot?! That was the knicks in the 3rd quarter last night, pathetic

Myles: I did read that. But it seems like he passed away AFTER the whole dustup. Seems like a coincidence to me.
Nov.15 at 2:54 pm
Bryan says:
Who do you pull for TADOne? Probably whoever is winning at the moment huh?
Nov.15 at 2:56 pm
Myles Brown says:
Yeah, I thought it was coincidental, but I couldn’t tell which came first.

Andre Miller’s playing like Marbury (i was going to say something else but i figured this was more of a diss & less sexist at the same time) these days, jacking up shots he has no right taking.. i know there’s not a lotta talent around him at this point but he’s at 4 assists per game on 10 total passes per game.. bruuuutal. and i have him on my team in the Slam Fantasy league so it bugs me that little bit more.
Nov.15 at 5:43 pm
Kevin says:
oh yea, don’t know where i heard it on TV or who from.. but the idea popped up: buyout of Marbury & giving up one of their expiring contracts for Telfair in hopes that returning to NYC will help him play up to his ability at last? interesting idea, don’t know if that has any legs at all but i thought i’d share..

Yeah thanks Andre for playing well enough to keep us out of the good part of the lottery, and falling apart now. Even after all this, I’m still a bigger fan of Steph as a person than LeBron. That lil beef they had over the shoes… and the espys and the darfur thing. Steph may be crazy, but I’m starting to get the feeling that uberhyped lil LeBron has grown into a poor example of a man, or maybe not grown at all.

I liked Jalen Rose’s quote in the Times today: “I think it can be repaired. But will it truly be repaired? It can’t be.”
