his agent must be on crack on something… 10mil for Andy??? do that and watch LBJ pulling a Kobe 2 years down the line, when they barely make the playoffs…

I’ve long believed in any sport, that if a player isn’t going to sign what you want and then starts throwing back ‘halfway house’ offers, he should be dropped and left to rot it out. I am a harsh man.

haha good f*ck that guy.

Todd says:
The Celtics could use some depth on the bench. Varajao would be great for them if the cap would allow. Of course 10 mil a season for Blanca is unreasonable, and he’s still young and not desperate enough to take a pay cut to win…but I can dream dammit I can dream.

Him and his agent were trying to force the Cavcs hand. Now that the Cavs say no to the numbers, Sideshow can look for another suitor who will give him about half that money and a decent shot at winning.

eboy, I have absolutely NO idea which team you could possibly be referring to :P … but it’s clear that AV is after the money, otherwise he would have resigned with the Cavs a long time ago. His agent tried to get other GMs to bite, but after witnessing signings like Nene or Adonal Foyle people apparently got wiser. And if somebody does offer half of what he’s asking - which is around the MLE I think - Ferry would be dumb not to match.

he sucks

neaorin says:
AV most certainly does not suck. He’s a hustle player who brings it every night and plays good D (yes, he can do more than just flop). He is also very young, which means he still has time to develop some kind of move on offense, which honestly is all that’s needed from him. Here’s a great putback over Bosh that won a game at the buzzer last year: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lWF8HmtYkmY

Dude, he sucks.

thesubwayconnection says:
I don’t think he sucks, but he’s definitely not worth 10 million. If he doesn’t want the multi-year deal that the Cavs are offering, then he should play it out in Cleveland or discreetly ask for a move to be made. Anyone who gives him more than the MLE is stupid, IMO. He’s got pretty limited potential, and shouldn’t get more than what he’s worth.

Jared says:
whatever, he doesnt suck, he’s in the L…but he’s a punk, which is why I said he sucks. He’s never been consistent, he’s a spark plug, sometimes. Other than that, he’s a young big body, I’d rather have Ronnie Turiaf, who will never make 10 mil in the league. He’s an athlete, he doesn’t particulary have good fundamentals, which means he probably will never develop that move on offense. Everything he does looks uncomfortable and he’s best used as a hustle guy who has no plays drawn up for him. He’s asking for big money, he’s not worth it, he sucks.

neaorin says:
Well if you all think he sucks then maybe you can start a petition or something to get him to resign for 5 years and 25 million. If you pull that off Cavs fans will be grateful.

neaorin says:
@subway: well he did have the chance to play it out this season. All he needed to do was take up the qualifying offer after it was evident that Ferry wasn’t gonna cave in to his ridiculous demands. But now all of a sudden he wants a one-year deal at HIS terms, after which he can hit the open market? Sorry homie, but you can’t have your cake and eat it too. As for a sign and trade, that won’t happen if he doesn’t want to sign any reasonable offers. It’s a big mess, and it’s all his fault.

I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, Varejão is a punk!

The Cavs finally made the right decision. It took a whole summer, but still.

Hi! says:
if he is worth as much as he thinks he is, he would atleast be training instead of having reports of him being out of shape in brazil. sounds like he’s a little to content where he is to care

Tarzan Cooper says:
who is going to sign him?

Nov.7 at 2:13 pm

Jared says:
I’d rather have Tiago Splitter, Maciej Lampe, and Fran Vazquez…did i leave out any other guys who were supposed to come to the L for a minute and never showed up?

Nov.7 at 3:30 pm

its just alex says:
Maciej is legit.

Russ Bengtson says:
I was looking for a photo of it all night and couldn’t find one. I’m guessing LeBron had it deleted before it even left the camera.
