Word, sheed. There are a few awkward moments in there, but the overall point is well made: LeBron’s on some other ish.
Of course, with few details, we pretty much told you the same thing in Slam two years ago. But it’s good to see Fortune trying to keep up.

Didn’t Fortune recently name McHale the best GM in the L? That’s why SLAM is for basketball and fortune is for when I want to pretend I’m a robber baron.

I feel bad for Lebron..he has all this money, but he has proven time after time(especially with the entire Steph incident) that he’s a slave, and probably has a Nike sign tatooed on his ass..

d.Y. says:
I hear that Tony.

I wouldn’t mind to be a spokesperson for Nike. Just like my idol MJ.

I would want the money too..I don’t mind that Lebron takes all the money, who wouldn’t?..but with the whole Marbury incident, he insulted Marbury’s shoes, when Steph was trying to do something positive..of course Steph was making money too, but he was giving poor kids a chance to wear some nice kicks for a cheap price..Lebron says “I wouldn’t rock those”(paraphrasing), a lot of kids will change their minds about wearing them, because Lebron is obviously a major role model..he’s the face of the NBA right now..so the poor kids go out and get their mom’s to give them 100+$ to spend on a pair of shoes, instead of spending 15, just because Lebron said they weren’t cool..he’s pimping his shoe at the expense of Marbury trying to do something positive..that’s when I lost respect for Lebron..

Z says:
Real talk, Tony G. I didn’t see it like that, but if Bron says those shoes are whack… HS kids won’t be inclined to buy them. Which is a shame when they can’t really afford the LBJs.

Sesa says:
I don’t see a person who got kids before a marriage deserved to be a role model. Off the court that is…

Nov.28 at 11:17 pm

TonyG says:
you don’t see that, because you’re a mature person, who is probably at an age where he can make smart decisions, based on his own opinions and thoughts..a little kid doesn’t care that Lebron had kids before he was married, they just see one of the best NBA players in the world, who has made all of this money..
