Carter’s Sprain Is Mild
An MRI revealed that Vince Carter suffered a grade 1 sprain, which is considered the mildest of sprains. He should be out of action for about a week or so.
(His replacement in the Nets’ starting lineup, Antoine Wright, it should be mentioned, missed the potential game-tying jumper at the buzzer last night.)

From the way he went down I thought it was at least a Grade 582.

Umm, I’m not a big fan of Vince Carter but ankle sprain is very painful on any grade IMHO. I’ve been diagnosed “grade 2″ sprain and it’s as painful as grade 1.

Vince Carter: Half man/half a season
He sure can sell an injury and now the Nets fans may see his acting skills as well as us Raps fans did. Mild ankle sprain…dont worry VC should be back by the all-star break…later if the Nets arent playing up to expectation…..

Vince is out indefinitely with a sprained ankle! Are you kidding me! I know a sprained ankle can be painful. I’ve experienced a few ankle sprains, but Vince acted like someone tasered his ankle.

From vinces face I thought he might be out for the season, and I was holding my breath that he would be all right and we wouldn’t get a repeat of last years parade of injuries to key NBA players. The nigh inconceivable pain on his face made me worried, then I heard it was an ankle sprain………….

i’d do the same thing if i was in wince’s shoes. i mean, sh!t, if i have 60 mils, i’m gonna make sure i look after myself first too. sure being out indefinitely on a sprained ankle is excessive and you can call him a p*ssy or whatever, but he’s a p*ssy who’s 60 mil richer than you.

I find it ridiculous that people still make fun of Vince Carter for “being soft” when he’s played almost every game since he got to NJ..and he’s been playing with an injured thumb on his shooting hand the entire year..

I dont consider taking turn-around fade aways and contested 3 pointers as playing ball….
I love the Nets but it pains me to see Vince play every game with a ’sprained’ heart muscle…

TADOne, loved the Wince. Can we make that his official name on the Links?
And Tony G, he was playing for the contract. Look out ahead.

in the 3 years he’s been in jersey, he’s missed only 3 or 4 games prior to this injury. you can’t tell me he’s been playing to get paid these last 3 years. You Raptor fans sound like a sad bitter, dude that still can’t get over the fact that he got dumped 3 years ago. Instead, try to enjoy what you have now: a team that is considered top 5 in the East.

I think we have a good reson to be “bitter” and I have a feeling it will be coming to New Jersey sooner than some may think..This video shows the Air Canada Coward at his best..Take a look at #6..its looks and sounds oh so familiar…and you have to love #1…he epitimizes what a professional is…wow…disgraceful http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BuqD9XiMNv0&mode=related&search=

With all the hating, I’m assuming Toronto fans are rather active on these boards.. Really, if you’ve played ball and had an ankle sprain, you’d know it hurts like beeyotch at the time. But it’s still not that serious for it to keep you out too long. Get over it rap fans. I know it hurt to see his scoring avg skyrocket when he left for Jersey, but really it’s time to let it go.

I dont even know if it is completely the fact that he left..Ok the guy left lots of guys leave when they arent getting anywhere…ITS THE WAY HE LEFT…he left like a coward..it was disgraceful to athletes and fans of sports in general..and to admit that you dont try as hard as you should because ‘he has been lucky to have the talent that doesnt require 100% all the time’. come on now…you dont have to be a Raps fan to see why so many people hate on VC. Lookat AI..sure he wanted out of Philly but Iverson was a sixer until he left.
