A quick congrats to the Colorado Rockies, who are so hot right now, they would have swept the team that I cheer for anyways. Kaz Matsui, playoff hero. Ah… that was an unexpected development. But I say congratulations to the Rockies, who are scorching hot playing in games in the freezing cold, late at night. See you in a month when the Series begins.
Also should mention my (and Ben’s) New York Giants for taking advantage of Lang’s depleted Falcons in Atlanta last night. It wasn’t a fair fight, but hey you play who is on your schedule. For all of this Randy Moss talk, Plaxico might be the most dominant receiver in the NFL right now. There, that’s it for football and baseball talk. Onto basketball.

I don’t think Kobe even has to do anything. I think all he has to do is say something and people pay attention. Personally, I’d love to see an Adam Morrison preview but I suspect it will focus mainly on his trailer and pet beaver.

As for Kobe, he’s going to spawn 462,956 more pointless columns on ESPN.com, split equally between J.A. Adande and Ric Bucher’s hair. He’ll average 32-34 ppg, be an All-Star starter, lead the Lakers to a 43-39 record, the eight seed and a first-round bounce, and not win MVP for the 11th consecutive season. Over the summer, he’ll be traded to the Knicks for David Lee, Randolph Morris, Jamal Crawford, Quentin Richardson and two first-round picks, switch back to No. 8 (the Knicks have already retired 24), and lead New York to a title in 2011.

did not get to watch Heroes. Did hang out Friday night with friend and his girlfriend at bar who looks kind of like young Hayden. Random guys kept coming up to her and hitting on her and she kept asking us to save her from them. I made the joke “save the cheerleader, save the world” at least 10 times. And it got funnier each time!
