Does this make them more appealing to Jerry Buss or less?

Russ Bengtson says:
They’d both be silly to re-sign now. Why not wait until next summer when one (or both) of them will have been an All-Star, and they have another deep playoff run under their respective, uh, waistbands? There’s the possibility of injury, I suppose, but it’s far more likely that their respective values will both go up.

My understanding is that signing them to a long-term deal makes them much more difficult to move. Added to the fact that you still really don’t know what you’re getting with either of these guys.

Luol Deng should be re-signed right now. Even if they try to get Kobe, Deng won’t be the one who gets traded.

MOMONEY says:
I want Deng/Kobe as the new MJ/Pip… trade anyone else from the bull but leave Big Ben and Deng.

You should of seen what Luol was up to in the summer!!!! Deng was playing for Great Britain, and he was schooling everyone!!!!! I had courtside seats for the 3 games i saw (£10 each game which is about $19)

I think it’s about time to stop talking about Gordon and Deng like they’re equally talented whereas Deng is much better. You can find undersized scoring 2’s with no d or court visioon on every street corner. You don’t find that many do-it-all 6′8 guys. I’m with MOMONEY on this one. You keep Big Ben and Deng. Everyone else is expendable.

Z says:
You try to keep Kirk as well, but the Lakers prolly want something, anything out of this deal.
