Bobcats in the Playoffs?

Jason Richardson, the newest member of the Charlotte Bobcats, doesn’t see why it can’t happen.

Bryan says:
never underestimate the power of improved young players.

Russ Bengtson says:
John Hollinger has the Bobcats making the playoffs, and I’m afraid to argue with him because he might throw numbers at me. That said, did you see the photos of Sean May from yesterday? He looks like he ate Antoine Walker.

jbn74sb says:
If they could get/ stay healthy, they would be a playoff team in the East.

jbn74sb says:
I’m guessing May ate Morrison as well, which would account for his pastiness in those pictures.

Bryan says:
I hope Adam Morrison plays well this year I know I might be in the minority but I think that kid is a really good basketball player.

Russ Bengtson says:
The Bobcats WISH May would eat Morrison.

jbn74sb says:
Perhaps MJ made the decision to draft Morrison after a night like the one currently pictured over at Lion in Oil.

What gets comments moderated here?

jbn74sb says:
Bryan - lots of things, but especially posting a link. That and calling Ryan names.

BETCATS says:
mine comments always do, and by the way yes we will. Super Ray Ray Felton predicted this last year and this year we got the piece we needed so…..playoff time!!!

BETCATS says:
and Morrison would be good if he AIMED his shots. Look at the way the man shoots, he just wants it to look pretty, watch tapes (or a full bobcats game) and you will see him just doing a little pose and the heaving it at the goal

Bryan says:
How long does it take to post usually cause mine has been in limbo for awhile and it’s gonna be irrelavant soon.

there’s no reason why the cats won’t make the playoff this year. they got enough quality players to make some noise. well, actually, who’s their coach?

The Best Yet says:
Bryan- get real dude. Morrison sucked a$$ last year. Yea, he might be a little better, but MJ shouldn’t hold his breath on that.

Oct.3 at 8:49 pm

David says:
Well you’ve got playoff probables like Detroit, Chicago, Cleveland, Toronto, Miami, Washington… and likely, Boston and Orlando. Are the ‘Cats ready to beat any of those 8 teams? Can they beat out the Nets? Maybe if one team gets hit by a bunch of injuries or we have another “Brawl n’ Suspend”. Then “It’s where the ‘Cats Happen!”

floe says:
bobcats would make the playoff if they had isiah for coach.

BETCATS says:

Russ Bengtson says:
Detroit, Cleveland, Chicago and Toronto are the only locks for the playoffs in the East as far as I’m concerned, along with whoever manages to “win” the Southeast division. The other three slots could be filled by ANY combination of teams not named the Pacers.

Oct.3 at 11:45 pm

h-town nick says:
Russ, perhaps last year’s Pacers wouldn’t stand a chance to make the playoffs…but that was before the Lukasz Obrzut era.

Oct.3 at 11:47 pm

davidR says:
russ, aren’t you forgetting boston?

Oct.4 at 3:26 am

Russ Bengtson says:
I don’t consider Boston a lock. One of the big three gets hurt, and that’s a wrap for them. Their roster’s awfully thin. They’re easily the best of the non-locks, though. Crazy that the three spots left after that (assuming Detroit, Chicago, Cleveland, Toronto AND Boston make it) will have to come from some combo of Miami, Orlando, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Atlanta, Charlotte and Milwaukee–all whom seem to expect to make it. Indiana’s the only team that doesn’t seem to have a chance.

$harp Shooter says:
Boston will make the playoffs no doubt but don’t sleep on the power of isiah and the knicks

Oct.4 at 9:00 am

David says:
Well, neither Philly or Indy have a chance. And surely nobody really expects New York or Atlanta to do anything, right? It’s crazy that it’s only been a few years since Philly, Indy, Jersey and New York were Eastern Conf champs. And while it’s almost 11pm where I am, how late do you stay up posting, Russ?
