I’d like to see Shawn leave and be traded to a horrible team (T-wolves)with no chance of the playoffs. See how that money keeps him happy then.

Yup, trade him to Atlanta for Joe Johnson and Josh Smith.

Anyway, what’s he complaining about? He’s the highest paid on the team and no one takes more shots than him except leandro Barbosa. So what does he want? Even with that he gets less love than Nash and Stoudemire, well he won’t get anymore anywhere else. Maybe he just needs to realize he’s a great player, but certainly not a star like the other two.

Trade him to the bobcats for Gerald Wallace, they’re fairly similar.

The Suns need to hire Steve Perry to sign “Open Arms” and “Faithfully” to his Mat-bit*h ass to make him feel loved. Enough with this girl, already.

It’s time for Shawn to go. These outbursts are not isolated and are sure to continue over “something” in the future. This is an ongoing drag on team chemistry.

I think the Shawn - AK47 - LO roundabout should actually happen with AK being a better fit than Shawn in Lala land.

Send him to memphis they suck, get stromile swift and mike miller, miller fits the shooter on the wing role perfectly and maybe steve nash can make stromile servicable.and the grizzlies pretty much suck so Marion will get his due that way.And if Conley is as quick with the ball as everyone says he is then he can still get his garbage points off the break.

Marion is being a big cry baby in all this. It will be interesting to see if anyone pays him $20 million per — that deal in a few years could approach Alan Houston or Juwan Howard territory as one of the worst deals.

This Shawn talk is getting as tired as Kobe asking for a trade, AK47 asking for a trade and the whole ‘New York’ mess.

and the media had the nerve to call Kobe a whiner…

Guess I’ll post my take on Odom for Marion here as well.
As someone who loves to use stats to analyze players, it would seem that I would support Odom for Marion. But nothing could be further from the truth. Odom, if healthy (and that’s a big if) is a better, more versatile, player than Marion, and his skills and mindset are better suited for the 2nd man role than Marion’s.
If Marion is whining about the attention and shots he received in Phoenix, with Nash as the PG and perhaps most gracious and selfess star in the game, how on earth is he going to deal with LA, where it is all Kobe all the time?
Marion is a good player, and is perfectly suited for being the 3rd option on a good team, but I cannot see him getting his own shot. Odom, on the other hand, is bigger, taller, and stronger, a better ball handler, can get his own shot, is a better half-court player, and his personality seems to be a good foil for Kobe’s.
TO make a long story short, I wouldn’t trade Odom for Marion straight up, let alone add Cook (who is very limited, but effective at what he does), and I certainly wouldn’t give Marion anywhere near $20,000,000 per.
And eboy - my silence of late has been the result of my comments disappearing as soon as I type them on my work computer, not due to any nefarious activities. Pervert.
BTW - The Clippers are hosting an intra-squad scrimmage a few blocks from my house next Saturday, and I going with a friend who is a long-time Clippers fan and season ticket holder, aka a glutton for punishment. SHould be fun.

Bodie, my analysis of where you were was much more tame than Ryan’s take over in Khalid’s “Garden” piece. Glad to see you’re writing, though.

Trade em to the knicks for balkman d.lee q.rich…. Maybe Q rich can hit all them treys he did 3 seasons ago!!!
Balkman is supposedly like rodman and he is a bruiser taking pressure off of Amare.
D.Lee he rebounds well also giving them an upgrade to Brain Skinner or Pat Burke. He is a potential replacement for Kurt Thomas!!
This will probably b/c Isiah has to do something to change the front page of the NY newspapers y not make a trade???

Suns could also throw in Marcus Banks clearing that cap room and add little Nate. (More toughness; He will fight anybody and is an expendable body just encase there is another Horry attack)

Has anyone read that Paul Shirley book. He might give some incite to why Shawn is really mad.

Because I never known someone to get that mad when your winning. Thats how kobe and shaq coexisted

The suns should ship him to the Wizards for Antwan Jamison. The Salaries match but, Jamison is in the last year of his contract so you know he is going to play hard for the new contract. Jamison is a better scorer and can hold his own on the boards. Looks like a win win for both sides.

As I have stated in the Garden post, I escaped from that f-cker Ryan’s basement. He had old, discarded, sticky Fathead poster of Kobe all over the place, with the face “X”‘d out. And there was neither a weight nor a scrap of food to be found anywhere in the place (big surprise there). There were, however, boxes full of “Believe The Hype” throughout, accounting for perhaps half of the sales numbers. Creepy…

Odom’s child died in a crib. Marion may never achieve the level of discrimination and perspective that LO got overnight. That’s some maturity to be Kobe’s wing. Buuuut he’s injury prone. Damn the NBA. With all this noise none of AK, Marion or LO is probably going to actually move.

I think Shawn wants out of Pheonix because he wants the spotlight for himself. I truly think he is being overpaid and overrated. He has a bad shooting form, think about it, him take the last shot to win the game, pretty ugly.Gets almost all of his points from Steve Nash. Can only play well in a fast paced system, because I rarely see him cross over somebody. The only good thing he can do by himself is defend and getting a bunch of rebounders.Seeing him go to another team and making him the star of the team would be intresting to see, because I do not see him making 24 pts a game.
Plus I just don’t see the Pheonix Suns winning a championship. great teams had great centers, sure they have Amare, but I see him as an undersized center who makes crucial mistakes. A championship team always has a true center.
